Design Research Methods: 150 ways to inform design

Not all that great
Full disclosure: I hold a graduate degree in design and have experience in design research - and I'm glad I do when reading this book. The book is somewhat helpful as a tool for jogging my memory about methods, but it's far from sufficient for anyone not already familiar with most or all of the methods presented. Specifically, the text seems to talk *about* the method but fail to *explain* the method in many cases. Admittedly, this is a big task to accomplish in one or two pages (perhaps the stock photos could be done away with or an additional spread added for some/all methods?) Lastly, the print quality mixed with a light font makes the text somewhat more taxing to read, at least on the copy I received. On a positive note, there are usually a couple references for each method, allowing some additional detail if one can take the time to find the source material, but it's still disappointing as a text, IMHO.
