WAY better than puppy pee pads!
I got this for my daughter's 8-week-old puppy, and it has been amazing~ We didn't want to train her to use pee pads because we have a toddler that gets into everything, and it just made more sense to train her to go on grass. We live in an apartment complex that has designated doggy poo areas, and so we couldn't risk her catching something from another dog before she was able to get all her puppy shots. This real grass patch has been the perfect solution. We put it out on our private back porch and water it every few days with fresh water and it stayed alive for almost 2 months. We have her ring a little bell then put her right out on the grass patch and she goes straight away. Transitioning from this to going potty in the designated poo area is going to be a breeze after her final shots. We just cleaned up any poos at the end of the day and it stayed nice and fresh and never got stinky. I finally decided to replace it a couple days ago because we forgot to water it and it turned brown and just wasn't as pleasing to look at but she was still happy to go potty on it even at that point. The new patch arrived today in perfect condition and she instantly went potty as soon as I sat her on it. The size was perfect, the grass was soft and fully alive, and it has been the best puppy "tool" I have ever purchased. When it was time to get rid of the old patch, I just folded it in half inside its wax cardboard liner and slid it all into a trash bag - super easy and there were no pee stains or residue underneath the patch. Over all a great product and I will purchase it again even after she is able to potty outside once winter hits so she always has a nice, dry place to potty even when it is cold and rainy out.

Incredible Real Grass! Happy kitty!
Amazing customer service!!! The first patch we received the box was damaged and the grass was falling out of the box. It made a huge mess in my home. I was super disappointed with the delivery. I complained to Amazon and the seller sent another patch of grass at no cost which was delivered within a day. The shipping time is extremely fast. I purchased the large patch of grass for my two cats. Unfortunately, my indoor cats are afraid of the grass because they've never seen grass before and don't like the texture. They do enjoy snacking on it and haven't thrown up from it but they also don't eat a lot. The grass is REAL. It has soil and is moist! It's very lush! The website says it can last 1-6 weeks. I think cat owners will get the longest use out of this since cats just lay on it and don't pee or poop on it. I recommend keeping the grass in the box it came in. The lid can also be placed under the box for added padding and protection because the soil is moist. I think the value for this patch is great because it lasts so long. We are going on the third week of the grass and it still looks very green! My in-laws have an indoor/outdoor cat who LOVES his patch of grass. He is ALWAYS lounging on it when he's not outside. It's given him so much peace and comfort. I so badly want my cats to like the grass but they just don't unfortunately. But I definitely think my in laws will be purchasing more patches regularly for their cat. Super happy with this product and that it even exists! Although my cats don't care for it I am so happy they were able to see and experience grass in their life. I am grateful for that. Wonderful product! I initially was going to purchase the patch directly from their website but seeing that they're on Amazon made the process 100x easier for purchasing. Pictured is my in-laws cat on the grass. Update: grass is still going strong and we are on weak 4 however I noticed it is dry. So I think it would be worth lightly spraying or misting some water on the grass to keep it lush and moist. The grass has gotten flat because the cats sit or walk on it so that's normal. But it's still green!

Fantastic Concept, But WAY OVERPRICED
LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AND THE FIRST ONE I ORDERED IS ALMOST DEAD. WASTE OF MONEY. BUY A CRATE TRAY AND A $10 SOD PIECE AT LOWES AND MAKE YOUR OWN. IT WILL LAST LONGER AND WHEN IT DOES DIE IT WILL BE CHEAPER TO REPLACE. CHANGING MY 5 STARS TO 1. I WISH I HADNT BOUGHT A SECOND ONE.Most important part, its SO easy to clean. We bought biodegradable poop bags and we just pick the poop up every time we see them go out to poop. The pee isn't really a factor. I don't see it pooling up or anything (and it's been in use for a week by 2 medium sized dogs), nor are they having wet paws. This setup is expensive, but honestly if you take into account puppy pads and how much they cost, how many you have to use, buy something to put them in to keep them still, plus the fact it's excess plastic waste for landfills, I still think this this is the better option. It's better for money in the long run, the environment, looks, and ease of cleaning. I've only had it a week, so I can't say how long the grass lasts yet. The grass was pretty and green and damp when it arrived. I do plan on trying to take care of it so it lasts as long as possible. I have liquid fertilizer for my aquarium I plan on mixing with water if the grass starts to look dry.One of my dogs cannot be unattended in the yard, he eats rocks large enough they have to be surgically removed. It's happened twice now, so I had to fence off my concrete sidewalk. When they go out the dog door that's all they have, and I bought one of these grass pads to put on the sidewalk so they still have a "yard". It's heavy enough I'm not worried about it blowing around outside. I didn't have to teach my dogs anything. My youngest (rock eating) dog immediately went and peed on it literally once I rolled it out on the tray. My old dog usually knows to pee on command, so I told her that's her pee place. She had some accidents right next to it the first couple days, but she's gotten better. Yeah they'd still rather have their big yard, they gaze sadly at their yard through the fence, but for a dog with severe grass allergies and tendency for rocks I think this is the best option.Oh and that's another thing, the grass is hydroponically grown. He has serious allergies, like he chews on his feet cause they itch after being outside and has constant yeast infections in his ears he goes to the vet for. I haven't noticed him chewing his feet since he was confined to just this grass. It might just be cause he's only on the grass long enough to potty and not exposed long enough, but I wonder if it's cause this stuff is hydroponically grown.Long review, sorry bout that. But this is really great. It's worth the investment and easier to take care of. It's honestly been a life saver for us.
