I really wanted to like these. But. Can’t
These are great looking pedals. Blue color matches the adjustment knobs on the Fox suspension. Machining looks to be great quality. So I really wanted to like them. But I’m returning. Here is the breakdown.1. They are pretty light. Thin. Overall quality seems very good.2. When brand new the pedal is pretty tight on the spindle. It seems to be due to the fresh thick grease. It should get better after some miles3. I took them apart to see “what’s inside”. The nut at the end of the spindle is 5/16. And usual sockets will not fit inside the pedal but some of the universal screwdrivers used by electricians for example have the bits of that size (Phillips on one end! Flat on the other), that after removal can be used as a nut driver to take the pedal apart. That’s not a problem.4. After I took it apart:- the pedal spins on the spindle with the assist of the plastic bushing. No radial bearings. Only bearing that is inside is axial bushing (google radial vs axial forces) Seems kinda pointless to me. Most of the forces on the pedal are radial forces. From feet pushing on the pedal and pedal pushing on the spindle. Through the plastic bushing. There are axial forces but not nearly as much as radial. Also that bearing isn’t sealed. The pedal is, but I think not very well. So water could get pass its seals and to that tiny bearing.5. Most of the pins are M3x8 mm socked head screws. These are easy to find and replace (google it). And pedals come with few replacement of those screws.Four of the pins closest to the spindle are Allen head screws. These might be harder to find. My source has socket head set screws, M3 up to 6mm. But i think id want 8 at least.6. Finally. The feel. I put them on my bike. On the rainy afternoon. Put on my 510 freerider pros. And. Well. I can feel the thicker part of the pedal where the spindle goes through. The shape seems more convex than flat. And I can feel my foot is not very secured on there. It’s not bad. But I’m comparing these to One Up composite and RaceFace chesters. I think both of those have little more grip. Again. The difference is very small. But I could feel it.Total score. 3 stars. I’d give it 3.5. Cause they are beautiful. And well machined. But I prefer the feel of concave pedals. Some of my gripes could be redeemed by M3x10mm screws at the front and back of the pedals which would give them more of a concave shape and feel. Also. That axial bearing. Kinda strange … I get it though. It’s incredibly hard to design thin pedals with all the features. But possible.Anyways. For the price these are well worth it. If you are moderate rider that doesn’t do big features. I ride about 3k of single track a year. Do drops. Jumps and so on. I just want the best from my pedals.

Great Pedals!
I'm just getting back into mountain biking after a nearly 20 year hiatus. So, as a reborn newbie, I can say these pedals are great. They were easy to mount and their build quality is fantastic. I weigh 285 pounds, and I can put all my weight on one pedal without an issue. They are also very grippy; from a newbie's perspective, this is wonderful. Not once have I felt my feet slip at all, which makes me feel so much more confident on my new bike. This is a great product I would recommend to anyone. Thank you, Solodrive!

Outstanding Product...
I installed these on my road bike, replacing my SpeedPlay Zero’s. I ride long and hard and have used SpeedPlay’s for years without incident. Nevertheless, being 69 years old now, I decided that being tethered to my bike might prove unsafe for me if I had a fall. These pedals, coupled with a good pair of 5/10 shoes, work amazingly well on a road bike. Feet stay where you put them and I was thrilled that my 20-30 mile rides suffered little, in terms of speed and time. Highly Recommended.

Great looking product but poor manufacture
First off these pedals look even better in real life and really make your bike look amazing!!The down side is that they arent very well design and built. I bought a pair, had issues with them and got a replacement pair within 3 days (AMAZING service), sadly the replacement pedals had the same issues. The shafts were all bent, and very noticeable even when installing them (tip of pedal was about 4mm off center). The other issue was that the retention device to stop the pedal body moving off the shaft, had a lot of play and could move about 3mm with very light loading (just using one finger). This was a little scary as meant that the seals would not work, and also made you wonder what would happen if heavily loaded...

Good deal for the price, hump in the middle is a little uncomfortable though
I really haven't had a chance to go on a proper ride yet, it's been in the 40s with snow the past 2 days. So far though, they seem like they are made from high quality materials, they're light, and they look really good. They were really easy to install with a 6mm Allen I believe and each side is labeled clearly. The Limited time that I have ridden them, just around the neighborhood, the hump in the middle is noticeable. It's not to the point where it's impossible to ride but it does make the ride a little uncomfortable hence the 4 Stars. Overall they seem like some really nice pedals though, comparable to those that are around twice the price

Big, lightweight Pedals on a budget
Given the price,I thought I gave this pair of alloy pedal a try. The product is well packaged with detailed instructions and extra pins. The platform is surprisingly big compared to other pedals that I have, that’s what I want for a good flat pedal. The weight is about average for a alloy pedal but good enough, 342 gram. But what can u complain anyway for half of price of top branded pedals.

Spindle Foot Pressure
First ever Amazon review, just wanted to give a FYI on these. Gave it a 3 stars, the quality is great, but the low profile aspect hinders them and gives me foot pain. I got the blue to match my frame. The allen on the end of the spindle is nice to install them with (vs. old school wrench on pedal side).I originally bought these for my hardtail 29er after the stock pedals' bearings went. I did a few rides on Zwift and always felt a pressure point on my foot where the spindle was since it's the highest point your foot hits. Gave me foot pain and eventually a numb tingly feeling in my toes. These pedals are definitely low profile, the spindle area is higher than the rest of the pedal. The pins are higher, but once they compress into your shoe it doesn't matter. I moved them to my 20" BMX bike thinking the pressure wouldn't matter as much in that application, but still felt the same pain after a short while.Have no issues with grip. These might work really well on a downhill bike where you're not standing on the pedals for long periods, or maybe just with stiffer/harder sole shoes where the pins can't compress into your shoe, but if you're constantly pedaling I wouldn't recommend them.
