Q: What’s the default temperature and how do I adjust the heat apart from putting it on turbo?

If you haven’t brought it don’t waste your money! It does not get hot on regular. It’s barely warm. You have to put it on turbo just to get some heat to make a curl. It’s not worth the money. Useless curling iron. I wouldn’t recommend product. I would send it back for a refund if I could.

Q: Does the top tip of the curling iron get hot when you use higher heat settings? I tried an Infinitipro and had to return after burning my fingers.

No, but it is not really very big. I rarely use it. Because of some shoulder issues, I went back to hot rollers and actually really like them.
