BOTH UNITS HIGHLY DEFECTIVE! BUYER BETTER BEWARE!!!
I was so pumped up to try out this headphone amp. It is a smaller version of one of the most popular and highly regarded DAC/AMPS on the market (OriGen G2), so I couldn't wait to try them out with my Sennheiser Momentum iems (earbuds), HIFIMAN HE400i headphones and Philips Fidelio L2 headphones. They are all really amazing headphones, and I was so impressed by how they sounded when connected to LG V50 ThinQ phone, but after issues with my carrier I was forced into getting a new phone which doesn't have a headphone jack, so I thought for $30 I HAD to try this product as it has a great DAC chip and manufactured by a popular audiophile brand to see if I could maybe get somewhat similar performance from my new phone (and my laptop btw). Well, when I first fired it up and began listening I was blown away by how amazing the sound was and the amount of driving power behind these things. I was more impressed by this product than any other I can remember in a long time. It was VERY comparable in sound quality to my LG V50 which is highly renowned for having one of the best DACs in the world.-->ONE WEEK LATER: Every time I plug the DAC in (using different devices, operating systems, headphones, and methods exhaustively) there is continual LOUD popping and hissing and all sorts of crazy harsh sounds. It scared the hell out of me even while expecting it as I made several dozens of attempts to get it to work properly with several different devices, operating systems, headphones, and methods exhaustively. Even though I was legitimately afraid of completely destroying my headphones and irreperably damaging my hearing, I was determined to get this thing to work right and that it had to be user error. But alas, that was not the case. Which was proven by the fact that I replaced the item via Amazon and the replacement I got sounded great and worked perfectly...for ONE DAY before all the same issues consistently kept occurring, again even after trying different methods to find a solution. Very very sad because I was so impressed by the sound out of this and now it has left such a bad taste in my mouth (and my eardrums) that I am hesitant to try another external DAC/amp from ANY company. Because I really do value my headphones and my ability to hear them. I'm not going to risk either of those things even to save a hundred bucks or more and find audio nirvana only to have it ripped away and you're sent to audio hell. I 110% do not recommend this product or this company. Even if you disregard this review though, STILL just know to be VERY careful because while I may not have completely ruined my headphones or ears with this product, I am afraid that someone out there just might. Thanks.

Great Value Headphone DAC
ES9018QC2 DAC+AMP. PCM up to 384kHz/32-bit, DSD64, DSD128. Really good step-up from built in audio. Easily powers my headphones. Crystal-clear sounds. Affordable, Hi-Res Audio for everyone. Recommended.

Defective out of box
While it is a fun size and competitive price, I looked at the other reviews saying it would be faulty and bought it anyways, to nobodies surprise as soon as I opened up the box it was just static and even managed to damage my brand new pairs of iems because it defaults to max volume and blew one of my drivers. Seriously do not even take a chance this product is a dud. Wish I never bought this thing, now I am not only out of a dac but also back in the market for new iems.

Pleasant
This dac is compact and awesome for the price, being a college student. It enables me to get the most out of my Samson headphones without breaking the bank. I wish this company can continue producing and selling this product.Edit: my unit lasted but a month. It is extremely fragile when it comes to connections. It would blast at full power poping and clicking when hooked to my phone and even to my computer. There is serious risk of hearing damage with how powerfull this dac can be. I'm sad to say that this unit failed.

Save your money
Was only able to get 3 brief uses out of it before failing on me. Upon inspection, my unit appeared to have failed because both the input jack and usb c connector have an extremely fragile connection causing them to have a loose connection and possibly shorting other components. I can't tell if its a flaw in design, quality issue, or both.On a positive note their customer support was friendly, but since it's via email you won't get instant answers. They were prepared to honor the warranty, giving the choice of either sending my old unit in and waiting a while to be shipped back, or I could pay around $10 to ship me another unit. I saw where this was heading and just decided to cut my losses and move on

Very powerful. Very powerful to be so small.
What I like is how clear the sound is,and it gets very loud

Great... For a couple months.
I have had THREE of these now. They die randomly and start putting out awful static-layered audio before they die. They did this on 3 different machines, with 3 different outputs (1 with standard headphones, one to speakers, one to earbuds) so there is no commonality between the failures. One lasted almost 2 years. The others have been lucky to make it through one.
