Quality Flatware
I bought this set of flatware for daily usage. I’ve used these everyday for half a month already. It still has a great shine, good weight to it, and the most important thing is that it has not rusted. Put them through the dish wash and they’ve been ok. I’ve read reviews on other Lennox flatware that were made in China and they all seem to rust. These were the only ones I found that did not have any rust complaints and were made in Vietnam. These are pricey, but worth the brand and the convenience.Update: it’s been five months since my purchase. The flatware still holds it’s shine and still in great condition.

So disappointed! Rust on the knives.
I should have paid more attention to the reviews that talked about the rust, but there were so many good reviews. When I went back, I noticed the rust reviews started in 2022 so something changed. I am so disappointed because I love this set! It was replacing a Lenox set I have had for over 10 years that will be going to my son. Thankful for Amazon free returns.

Rusts early and easily
Pieces from this set began rusting within weeks and less than a year later- I’m chucking the whole set. Not a good value for the money.

Dissatisfied
The handle of the knives tarnished quickly.

Understanding the difference between 18/10, 18/8 or 18/0 stainless steel.
So after years of trying to figure out which sets of flatware would last and which ones would rust, I finally learned that each type is classified as being either 18/10, 18/8 or 18/0 stainless steel. They are classified by the percent of chrome and nickel in the steel.18/10 stainless steel has 18% chrome and 10% nickel18/8 stainless steel has 18% chrome and 8% nickel18/0 stainless steel has 18% chrome and 0% nickelThe amount of nickel effects the stainless steel’s corrosion resistance and the shine. So 8/10 stainless steel contains the most nickel out of all three. But because nickel is more expensive, 18/10 stainless steel products are usually more pricey than those made with 18/8 or 18/0 stainless steel. Choosing a flatware set made of18/10 stainless steel will be longer lasting than those made with less (or no) nickel.Once I learned this, I understood more about what I should be looking for while shopping flatware. What would make a set less susceptible to rust and dulling? More nickel. So it's not just about paying more for a fancier name brand (i.e. Lenox vs Corelle), but also knowing how to identify what each set is made up of. I was surprised to find that some companies are charging premium prices while being made up of the same nickel/steel combination as companies who charges 1/3 as much. So if you're going to pay more for a better set, look for the 18/10, 18/8 or 18/0 identification or you could end up paying top dollar for a set won't last. This set is made of 18/10, containing some of the highest amount of nickel one can find in flatware, and it shows. It has a luster and shine to it that really stands out when laid out on the table top. I've been a fan of Lenox dishes for years and have a few sets, and this flatware every bit matches the quality of their dishes. I always put everything in the dishwasher and I treat these no different. They come out practically glowing they shine so much. They are outstanding!

Rust!!!
After taking the time to research flatware my husband and I decided to purchase the Lenox Amber Hill 65 piece flatware set. We read the product description and noted the 18/10 stainless steel composition as well as the rust/corrosion resistance. I was concerned with the low price point but noticed it was similar to many other brands. The reviews were mostly positive although some had issues with the lightweight and rust. Even though rust was mentioned in some reviews, not knowing the circumstances, we decided to order this set. Big mistake! After reading the product care information we washed the flatware in anticipation of using it for our Christmas dinner. We did not use any cleaning products with citrus and used the standard wash/dry setting on our dishwasher with plans to rinse and hand dry the pieces again. Unfortunately, when the dishwasher cycle finished and we removed the knives the handles had rust on both sides of the handle. We tried hand washing/rinsing the knives to see if this would remove the rust… it did not! We are back to our research in hopes of finding a decent set of flatware for everyday use. I would not recommend this set for purchase.
