Why did you pick this product vs others?:I love this mandolin. I picked it bcause I wanted something smaller that I could put in a drawer. It's super sharp so you need to be careful. Anything I've tried to cut comes out beautifully. I'm growing cucumbers in my garden and I love to cut them up with the mandolin. It cuts onions and cuts up cabbage for coleslaw better than my food processor. I use this thing every day, it's actually fun to use. I'm buying a second one to carry in my RV.

It’s OXO quality! The blade is extremely sharp so remember to keep it locked when not in use! I’m so glad it has that option. Assembly was a breeze, it took no effort at all. I love that it has three thickness levels. I can make my very thin apple slices for my apple roses, medium or thick slices for potato, carrots, celery, onions, etc for casserole or scalloped potatoes. It’s very versatile, easy to clean, extremely sharp, and can be used for an endless possibility of things to make a variety of delicious meals or desserts. It’s not just a mandolin, it’s an OXO brand Mandolin.

The slicer works great and is simple to use and clean. The width is narrower than the first tomotoes and onions that I used so I did not get full round slices. When purchasing fruits and vegetables to use for slicing in the future, I will need to choose smaller produce to fit the width. If your need is for larger produce, look for a different slicer. Also, this only has 3 slice settings and the thickest slice is not very thick, so be aware of the limitations.

Why didnt I buy this sooner, cucumbers, strawberries, carrots, you name it. This slicer is sharp and easy to whip out for everyday snacks, it slices best with medium to firm items I've tried kiwis and it works but you'll need to peel them first. Use caution, this thing can knick your fingers if you dont use the fruit holder. Lay it over a medium bowl and slice away, no cutting board mess. The slicer gives you three thickness options to adjust with ease. I'd highly recommend it is worth it.

This slicer is very easy to use and works very well. I prefer this to my other mandoline because that one is so big and cumbersome to use. This one is portable, and I can store it in my kitchen prep tools drawer. I'm very happy with it.

I think this is the four or fifth times that I purchased this item to give it away. I will like to give one to each person that I know, as this gadget will simplify your life and reduce your time at the kitchen. I have mine for almost 5 years and it’s working as the first day!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:After 6 months of use the blade is still sharp. I have had no issues. This has made it a breeze for me to get super thin onions for my salads and burgers.

This inexpensive mandoline slicer is goid quality for the price. Works well, the 3 slice widths were suitable for my needs. The comfort grip handle prevents slipping. I believe it would be useful for people with arthritis or hand issues. Cleans easily. Cons: it's rather small compared to standard mandoline slicers, narrow. The slicing area is maybe 3" wide, 7.5cm. Medium onion max. Good for compact kitchens, storing in a drawer or RV use. The same design, wider, would earn 5 stars, for the price-point.
