I recently bought a mint green Ikea desk chair. One of the things I liked about it was that the casters matched the rest of the chair, creating a great monochromatic look. Unfortunately, I didn't realize Ikea casters lock if you are not sitting in the chair. I found multiple videos demonstrating how to disable the locking brake, but none of them worked on these casters. Rather than scratch up the floor, and waste time dragging the chair back and forth, I gave up and ordered these compatible black casters. While I miss the monochromatic look of the chair, I am SO happy I can freely roll the chair around. They fit and they work great!

These casters are the perfect replacement for the ones that came on the IKEA office chairs I purchased. The original casters are not high quality and did not roll well. These are fantastic and are easy to install. I am glad these are available. I would recommend this product.

Wheels we replacement for IKEA chair bergermet. Work great

I exchanged the original Ikea wheels on my desk chair, which were hard to move around, with these new wheels. These new wheels work perfectly on my carpet floor. (I do not know how they would work on wood.)

Replacement in my HM Sayl chair was super easy. These wheels and height are actually a cm shorter and wheels smaller than the original plastic wheels, beware the center post is very close to the floor, but doesn't actually touch it. The wheel material feels like rubber (good) so my hardwood floor should be more protected. The odd thing about the design, for one is that the base which holds the steam is very wide, and 'structural' and a bit ugly (see picture).The second, and much more annoying part of these wheels design is that they don't pivot quickly or easily and when they do pivot they provide a lot of linear resistance to changing directions. 5 wheels in combination leads to many invisible 'walls' that you feel when moving around in this chair - this goes away once you start moving in one direction continuously. The original old wheels did not have this sensation.

There is a way to take the 'breaks' out of the ikea wheels, which I did(search youtube for that), basically 4 springs have to come out for them to role freely. Even with the springs removed the wheels still do not role well. I just got these in and holy crap they're better. I highly recommend these.
