Un paio di passi indietro rispetto alla prima edizione?
Vi dico subito cosa non mi piace di questa seconda edizione: 1) hanno ben pensato di togliere i cd perché, forse, le persone non li usano. Mi sta anche bene se è una questione economica ed ecologica, ma il punto è che non ci sono più dialoghi audio da ascoltare o far ascoltare agli studenti. Quindi rimuovere il cd va bene ma perché non rendere disponibili dei file mp3 da poter scaricare (che volendo puoi pure mettere nel telefono o nel tablet)? Ti danno il codice per poter usare (per un anno, mica per sempre) l'applicazione dell'oxford learner's dictionary (che cmq se usi il browser puoi usarlo cmq senza codice) e ciao. A me sembra un contentino. Hanno tolto 10 (a livello di contenuti e risorse audio) e hanno aggiunto una cosa quasi inutile: sull'OAD puoi ascoltare le singole parole, ok, ma di certo non ci sono frasi intere o dialoghi. 2) dalla lista delle parole hanno tolto la trascrizione fonetica !! Complimenti!! Era molto utile 3) ho dato una sfogliata al libro: la parte delle unità dove spiegano l'uso dei vocaboli o delle espressioni (i riquadri denominati "spotlight" e "glossary") sono scritte talmente in piccolo da causarmi fastidio agli occhi! E non ho certo 80 anni. Provare per credere: hanno stampato in carattere 7 o forse anche più piccolo. Sarà un 5 o 6. Se uno di questi libri lo dovesse usare una persona un po' più avanti con gli anni avrà seri problemi. In sostanza cosa è migliorato, in questa seconda edizione, rispetto alla prima? Niente, solo l'impaginazione e il layout che sono più moderni. La prima edizine mi sembra fatta meglio. La cosa più grave è aver tolto la trascrizione fonetica dalla word list a fine libro e le risorse audio (l'unica cosa disponibile adesso è il dizionario online, della serie: "niente più file o tracce audio da ascoltare o far ascoltare adesso. Andate sul dizionario e arrangiatevi". Ah, dimenticavo, il prezzo sfiora i 40 euro. P.s.: mi dispiace anche fare una recensione così tranchant e negativa, ma per 36 euro esigo di più. Questo libro non va pagato più di 20 - 25 euro. E' già tanto che non abbiano tolto le keys per gli esercizi. Magari nella prossima edizione faranno anche quello, creando una versione per studenti senza soluzioni e una per insegnanti con le risposte (una cosa che odio e che mi ricorda gli inutili libri che ci facevano usare a scuola).
