Yes, it can be left on the scalp. I usually put mine every other night

Do I have to wash it out?

unfortunately I had to send it back to Amazon bottle arrive open. Always on back order so I never got the chance to use the hair growth oil.

If I use just the conditioner, will this product still work?

Yes. I used this on my roots only, very close to the scalp.
