Easy to apply. Seems to help with rust. I scrapped off as much rust as I could and applied this product and it did remove more of it. Smells like an acid, so it must also etch the metal for painting.

So I'm doing my garage with rust bullet concrete. I had some spots that probably could have been ok but figured I'd try this stuff out. I got the gallon because at time of purchase it was about $2 more then the spray bottle.... Ok?Anyway I sprayed down my garage had some rust spots (surface rust) and two small oil spots plus a majority of random other things. Concrete garage. I sprayed this on and let it sit for just over 20 minutes. It worked very very well on the already pretty clean spots but not so much on the harder spots. I rinsed it all off and then resprayed and let it sit for about a hour and scrubbed very lightly just to make sure it was getting into it. I then came back and rinsed for what seemed like 25-30 minutes however it is clean. I can easily see it cleaned the concrete very very well. Happy I ended getting this and hope it helps the rust bullet concrete adhere better.Also thankful I got the gallon since I didnt let it sit long enough the first time. I would wear a mask as when I first started it smelled pretty rough so I put on a mask and it was easy after that. Better safe than sorry!

Works really well, smell is not the worst but I would still suggest using a mask. Works great if you knock down most of the rust first(prep) as it’s not going to completely strip all the rust on its own. Gave four stars because I don’t know if there’s something better out there but like I said it works and your getting a gallon of it.

Works great, used it on the frame and floor of my Excursion which had some moderate rusting. Make sure you follow the directions and WEAR PROPER PROTECTIVE GEAR this is nasty stuff. I recommend a pump sprayer and would advise against air gun application, as you do not want this stuff to mist/vaporize because it will linger in the air longer, and may even pass through some mask filters a bit. Doesn’t provide very good flash rusting resistance, but if you’re painting immediately after proper drying or are doing a paint over rust type finish then it doesn’t matter.

Didn't work as advertised

This stuff is fantastic to help you remove rust. It works best in temps over 70 degrees, and will be aided if you are able to physically grind some of the scale off first, but it leaves a beautiful grey zinc phosphate coating on your metal. One MAJOR WARNING - if you are going to spray this out of the bottle, buy an organic vapor/ acid respirator !!!!!!!! This is a MUST DO. as soon as you spray this from the bottle it vaporizes into a super fine mist, which is extremely bad to breathe. Once it is on the metal, give it time to work- a few hours, sometimes even overnight. The real magic about metal prep, is that it will destroy even the microscopic rust, and will help prevent the return of future occurrences. Fantastic !!

I have wasted hundreds of dollars trying out different products on rust. This is the only product so far that leaves me fully satisfied. It not only dissolves rust, but it leaves no residue or discoloration. Thank you Rust Bullet.
