Marineland Diamond Blend 50 Ounces, Ammonia-Neutralizing Zeolite And Carbon, Aquarium Filter Media

I use this in all my filters instead of buying premade filter bags. This has carbon and zeolite to elevate the water quality and reduce ammonia. It is a more economical way to filter my tanks, and I have also more control over the quantity of carbon/zeolite. I purchased filter bags and I make/fill to my needs. This is a great economical way to filter my tanks. The container size will last me for a long time.

I find this is the best for good water quality in terms of clarity, PH Balance, and ammonia/nitrate/nitrite levels. Works very well in a box filter but I bet it’s work even better in the filter cartridges for power filters.A nice good amount inside the containers as well. Zeolite really does seem to make a difference as opposed to just straight carbon, though straight carbon still works just fine.

This is a must have for beginners. If you have an ammonia problem you need this. I wish I knew about this sooner. My fish are back to acting normal and I added this yesterday.

Pros:With following the rule of 30g to 30gal(min) this stuff works wonders, I had and was using HBH and it's carbonif excellent no lie but its Ammonia Neutralizing blend really was a waste. You may pay a tad more for this butthat 3 bucks is worth every extra penny, plus EntirelyPets has it cheaper then the pet stores. Don't get me wrongyou still smell a tad of fishy/turtle water but you gotta stick you nose in the water.-No smell compared to all other blendsanyone with turtles will know that nasty smell this is you answer)-Lasts over a month *I change every month for best results*-Less dust then all others so you barely have to rinse it-If you water smells put this in a bag run you filter 24hr and your water will be crystal and smell free-Not saying you wanta but when you change the media smell the water then the media and you be like WOWthis blend locks in a lot a smell and the only smell is off the media.Cons:-The picture is a tad wrong just like burger king their menu looks better then the food but the split on carbon toAmmonia blend is like 5 parts Ammonia to 3 parts carbon, but still works just stating any negative which isn't becauseits Marineland. Only other negative I bought two of these and one the lids were brittle and upon deliver it broke butbox was taped up very good and I saved all it and still works*I know this isn't ship review but those are the onlytwo negatives I have to say so buy some!!*

I used to buy premade filter bags but switched to refilling my bags with Marineland Diamond Blend several years ago. And I'm glad I did. Not only are they terrific at filtering the water and keeping it clear and ammonia free... they're economical as well, plus a 50 oz container goes a long way! All of which makes my goldfish and myself very happy.

Within a few hours I noticed a difference in the clarity of the water. Priced good as well
