Polly Pocket Saturn Space Explorer Compact with Fun Reveals, Micro Polly and Lila Dolls, Lunar Vehicle, Alien Figure & Sticker Sheet; for Ages 4 Years Old & Up

After kicking myself for getting rid of all my Polly Pockets as a pre-teen, I started slowly building back a collection of the ones I had as a kid. My daughters (ages 8 and 5) have loved playing with them. When Polly Pocket compacts came back in recent years, I wasn’t too interested. They looked more like the simple ones you might get in a Happy Meal back in the ‘90s.But then I saw this set, along with the animal themed ones (pig, llama, corgi, etc). They finally seemed to resemble the older compacts and I just had to get them!These new compacts can’t compare to the quality of vintage ones. And the tiny details aren’t all there. I think this mostly has to do with the fact that Polly isn’t the same scale as she used to be. Polly is bigger now, which means her surroundings have to be bigger, which means not as much “house” inside a tiny compact. What I loved about Polly Pockets was the tiny details, the precious designs, and just how much could fit into such a tiny space. You don’t get that as much with these newer compacts, but it’s getting closer.I absolutely love this particular compact. The little alien steals the show! The space ship is removable and it’s just so fun to fly the alien around. My girls love it.It was interesting to see a rubbery Polly. But the Polly Stick feature is innovative and definitely works.One thing that has been improved upon is that the compact actually stands up on its own!I could, however, do without the wrist strap. It has a tendency to get in the way of play. But my girls do enjoy carrying it around with the strap. You can take it off if you want though with a little work.In my attached photos you will see a comparison between this new space themed Polly and a 90s Slumber Party set. You can see the difference between scale and detail.I also included a photo of a vintage Polly, the Polly you get with this set, and the Polly you get with the new Pig Farm compact.All in all, I’m super happy to have a new Polly Pocket! I would definitely buy again and recommend it to any Polly fan or as a gift to any kid!

My little girl likes this one the most. The little star spins around, so you get different space scenes in the background. And the little moon rover is fun too. It has enough pieces to be fun and detailed, but not too many that little kids lose them.

I bought this for a long trip for my 5 year old and she loved it. She played with it for couple of hours on the plane. Keep in mind that it has small pieces so you need some kids of a try or a mat to keep them contained and not to need to look for them all the time. Other than that it is a very funny toy that helps kids develop their imagination.

Very well made, nice gift for a Polly Pocket fan

There are lots of interactive parts to this set, things to open, close, spin, and even a little car. The dolls don't have holes in the feet, so they aren't perfectly interchangeable with another compact my daughter has. Overall, lovely.

A very cute playset with lots of nice detail, things that open or move, and little surprises.

Great throwback toy for me. Something new for my little one. Very entertaining. Pretty durable. I just don’t remember the dolls being rubber before so harder to get them to stay in chairs.
