Dansko Women's Trudy Wedge Sandal

I absolutely love these shoes. The support is great; however, the unthinkable has happened. I bought them in August and to my surprise and dismay both shoes have multiple cracks in the heel. I was told Dansko shoes last a long time, but I beg to differ. Of course my time for returning has expired. Needless to say I'm very disappointed. 🤣

They're beautifully made from quality leather. They're comfortable straight out of the box & get more comfortable over time. Most are made with waterproof leather which is stiffer but this allows for a longer wear life (think of original Levi denim... stiff until broken in, then custom-fit). I've severe spine problems, live in chronic pain, have foot problems and Dansko, ABEO & Rockport brands are the most comfortable, durable & surprisingly fashionable shoes I buy (the quality of Rockports significantly declined since they changed manufacturers; I don't buy them anymore). I wore comfortable but ugly nurse shoes for decades until I discovered this brand. Unless their quality significantly declines, I'm a loyal lifetime Dansko & ABEO customer.

I'm a size 11 and it's hard to find cute and comfortable women's shoes. I thought I scored here. I loved this shoe out of the box--it was super classy and comfortable. Wore it around town on short errands maybe two times. While I was in line at the grocery store, the shoes felt funny... almost like they couldn't support me. I looked down and there's a crack in both of the heels. I think this shoe is designed for tiny, dainty, skinny women who won't put a lot of stress on the artsy (but structurally incompetent) heel portion.EDIT: Dropped this review to one star. (Initially gave two because they are cute shoes). But with the multiple reviews mentioning heels cracking, I can't believe they're still selling these shoes!!

These were my favorite shoes until the heels broke..so upset that Dansko doesn’t honor its products.I was able to return to Amazon.I love Dansko but this heel is defective.

These sandals are amazing. Soooo comfortable - I can run errands all day in them!! I have them in black and brown (the brown leather was a bit stiffer to begin with, but softened up quickly). When I order Dansko sandals, I always order 1 size smaller than I do for Dansko clogs (I wear a size 8...in clogs I order a 39 but in sandals I order a 38 - a 39 was way too big. Not sure if it will be the same for other women). They look cute with jeans, capris, skirts...I highly recommend them.

It pains me to return these. I’m a big fan of Dansko and these are sooo cute. The length was perfect, the footbed was comfortable, but the straps across the foot were too tight. This created an awkward gap at the toes causes by not being able to fully get my foot forward. Unfortunately at the price point, I could not accept anything less than perfect. Very sad. For reference, I’m between a 7-1/2 & 8, I have a wide(ish) foot but never needed to order wide shoes, and I bought a 38 in Dansko.

First of all, I have been wearing Danskos for about 15 years. I had one pair of clogs last me 9 years before I tossed them because they stretched out so much, they made my feet hurt. I have 3 pairs of Danskos in my closet right now. I have raved about the brand so much to so many people, I could be their spokesperson!I love this pair of shoes. I can seriously walk in them for miles and miles without my feet hurting. I have walked several miles in this pair since I bought them Feb 21, 2022, so it's been 6 months since my purchase. I want several more pairs and have been checking the prices on Amazon periodically.I checked my shoes today and found a few cracks in the heel. They aren't too deep but deep enough to question their quality and long-term wear....UPDATE MAY 16, 2023: After MILES and MILES in these sandals, my right shoe finally broke today.... so bummed. They are my favorite pair of sandals. Found a pair available online... Would I pay $140 for the same pair? Heck yes!! I LOVE these sandals.

Love these shoes, cute and stylish. I can wear all day while teaching. They are a tiny bit snug, not for wide feet. They are also stiff when first out of the box, give yourself a day to wear around the house before you attempt a day at work. But I love the sturdiness of Dansko shoes.
