KEF M400 Hi-Fi On-Ear Headphones - Champagne White

These sound super nice and comfortable while listerning for long hours. Very happy with the purchase, not sure what others are complaining. It costs 5x to 10x less than its costlier cousins which sound more or less the same.

pretty look, great sound but slips off my head when I look down. KEF should consider replacing the ear pads with ones that have a cavity and upgrading the padding on the headband. It is also heavy for its size.

The quality of sound is very good.Design is good also.But it has an inherent structural weakness.The connection between cord and headset is very weak.It was something I already knew from other reviews, but it is very embarrassing how to fix it because it comes to me.

The reason these went from $250 down to the super sale price I god of $40 was not because of sound flaws. They are about equal to the Sennheiser Momentum Over-Ear headphones I also have and love, but with more of a dip at 2 KHz, not in a bad way, just different. The treble and bass extension are great, no spikes, but it does lean more towards bass presence, but high quality and fast like the Momentum.The problem is that the comfort I feel from first use eventually goes away and my head feels painfully squeezed. Maybe 40 minutes before I need a break. It should be as tight for people with smaller heads.

Good sound but terrible build quality of the ear pieces. I wore the headphones about six to eight hours per week, and after about three months, the earpiece covering started to come undone from the bottom of the ear cup until it is just hanging on at the top of the ear cup (see photo). From the looks of it, the ear-cup covering (leather?) was just barely overlapped and glued around the middle of the ear cups and slowly came apart to expose the foam padding!l can remember when Kef represented 'quality' but to say that these headphone don't measure up is an understatement. I will never buy another Kef product!

The other reviewer is right: Kef has an issue with their headphone jack on this model. The jack is detachable and thus requires being plugged into the headset. Once I did this, I could only hear out of the left ear. Carefully backing out the jack at the headset end returns audio in both ears and sounds very good, but this should've been tested and caught since I'm not the only one having headphone jack issues. I've plugged this into my computer and my iPod and a couple of other devices, too. I might request another jack from Kef but I suspect it's a design issue with how the headset and jack interact, and a replacement jack will be manufactured just the same and have the same issue. I'll live with it for now and see how steady the jack stays in its slightly-backed-out position.

same issue for me with the left phone as the other reviewers. got a replacement set and had the same problem with the second set. do not buy these

The receiver in the headphones has some kind of inherent design problem. Sometimes one speaker just stops working; you have to mess with the cord to get it working again, which is an embarrassing flaw for something that retails for a couple hundred dollars.

Great headphones, decent sound and very comfortable. Unfortunately these are replacing an identical 2 year old pair that developed a bad connection in the left ear. Will give them another try and hopefully no connection issues.

Esperaba más. El más barato de la gama de KEF, de los mejores auriculares del mercado. Sin embargo la elegancia del diseño no viene acompañada con ciertas cosas que considero imprescindibles al comprar unos auriculares:• Cable demasiado corto.• Existe un botón para controlar el volumen pero no funciona, le doy y no lo puedo controlar. Es imperdonable.• No te indican el orden para conectar el cable, si lo conectas del revés solo se oye de un lado.• El manual de instrucciones es muy corto, como si fueran unos auriculares baratos.• La inexistencia de un micro no es compensada con algo más.El sonido es bastante bueno, y la comodidad también. No detecto mejor sonido que con mis auriculares de 20 euros. La diferencia respecto de otros auriculares es que consiguen fusionar el auricular pequeño que se mete dentro de la oreja, con un auricular grande. Es decir, con unos auriculares normales, la oreja está a unos 2 centímetros de donde sale el sonido, con estos, hay contacto directo de la oreja con la almohadilla, se consigue así un sonido más directo, (que no mejor) como si tuviéramos los típicos auriculares diminutos. Son por eso bastante más incómodos y es debido a que están en constante contacto con toda la superfície de la oreja. Los normales te abarcan la oreja y la cierran como en una cueva, haciendo también que personas ajenas puedan no saber lo que estás escuchando, cosa que no sucede con estos auriculares, (para mi es un defecto ya que te resta privacidad).Como nota positiva destaco lo pequeños que son.
