This LG 40" soundbar appears to be very lightly used in the opened original packaging. This one is missing the owners manual and the wall mount bracket. We have fully tested and inspected it in an effort to make sure that this soundbar will work properly when you receive it. It does have some minor signs of previous use, but it works and sounds perfect. Other than the manual and bracket it appears to be complete with all of the accessories pictured. This is a great addition to any new TV to give you great ...
This is a great addition to any new TV to give you great sound!I got this as part of a package deal with the 43LF5900 from a Black Friday flash deal, and I am very happy with this purchase.First, I'll talk about what is included in the box. You get a soundbar and a subwoofer. In addition, there is an included remote, a bracket for mounting the bar on a wall, and a digital optical audio cable. The setup is pretty easy and straightforward. You plug in the soundbar and the subwoofer (they have separate power supplies to each component), hook up the digital optical audio cable from the TV to the back of the soundbar, and soundbar and subwoofer wirelessly recognize each other. Once you have everything working together, you can then adjust the sound.Overall, the sound performance is really good. Very crisp sound, and the subwoofer is more than adequate. The adjustment for the sound levels is a little basic. The included remote has buttons for power, changing the input (from optical audio, bluetooth, and headphone aux in) which is labelled as "F", volume up and down, mute, buttons for pre-set equalized modes (standard, voice, cinema), dolby sound on and off, subwoofer level up and down, and auto power on and off (allows the set-up to be powered off automatically when you turn off the input source). There isn't much control aside from what equalizer you might have on your input source, but its not a big deal to me, the pre-sets work well. If you're an audio enthusiast though, you might find this a drawback. The sound can get REALLY loud, and does not distort the sound at all.It also functions as a bluetooth speaker for music, and again this works very well. The set-up for this isn't explained well in the manual (overall the manual offers very little information aside from pictures), but it isn't difficult to figure out. I found I had to allow my phone to be searchable by other bluetooth devices to find the soundbar to connect, and you have to be pretty close to successfully connect. However, once you are, you can get pretty far away. I went to the farthest corner of my 2 bedroom apartment away from the soundbar with at least 2 walls between, and there was no interruption in sound on bluetooth. The only real issue I've come across so far is the fact that the subwoofer can only be connected wirelessly. I have had some issues with the subwoofer cutting out at times due to this. At first I was going to take away a star because of this, but I initially had my modem and wireless router sitting on top of the subwoofer for organization and neatness. Once I moved these off the top, I had no more issues of the subwoofer cutting in and out, so I'm assuming the transmitter is located near the top. The only other issue I have with this system is the fact that the soundbar and the subwoofer each have their own power cord, it made it a little difficult to hook up as I only had one place left on my power strip.Overall, I'm very happy with this soundbar. It has excellent sound, and is easy to set up. I highly recommend this one.PROS:-Excellent sound quality-Allows digital optical, bluetooth, and headphone aux inputs-Great stylingCONS:-Subwoofer only connects wirelessly, could lead to cutting out of sound if you put anything on top-Needs two separate power outlets-No built-in equalizer

Nice buy. I got refurbished one and it is working great as per my requirement. It has tear and wear condition but it is not at all a big deal. I didn't want something huge or even smaller range speakers for my small size apartment room. So this fits perfect for my setup.PROS:- 300W is decent enough sound quality for the given price- i like soundbar size and shape. nicely fitting in my furniture- subwoofer give really nice effect- super easy to setup complete set including subwoofer. It auto pairing- nice to have auto turn of/off featureCONS:- No indicator of volume/woofer effect in. You have to adjust is almost every time according to the content playing. Again it is not a big issue, but nice to have a indicator.- May be particular my unit or my setup is behaving this, I am not sure about the reason, but my Woofer effects sometimes just stopped working for few moments for whatever reason. It also restores back with normal condition. In case woofer effect is restoring back by itself, speaker needs to turn off/on by remote and it works just fine.Again giving the price, its awesome deal!Other than that. Its a

Constantly resets itself, annoying, but good sound when it works. LG support useless
Paired and purchased with my LG 43LF900 43-inch Smart TV, this is just ok. Now the sound is great, when it works. I am still constantly re-setting the parameters with the TV which should, ya'd think, know it's attached to a sister product. Nope. Even with the provided optical connection and cord, it still gets constantly confused and changes settings with warning, rhyme or reason. There are no kids to upset things, just one adult who knows how to work these things through (me) and one who hasn't a clue. Very annoying especially for me since I'm the only one who can do this....over and over again. Yep, did all the updates and upgrades, makes no difference. Called LG a couple times and they were useless.

Great soundbar for the money!
Got this for myself using an Amazon gift card I was given for Christmas and I'm very happy that I did. I shopped around a bit and at $139.99, this seemed like the best deal at the time and the reviews were mostly very positive. I'm not a hardcore audiophile and I'm sure this probably would be insufficient for an audio snob looking for a high end home theatre experience, but compared to the built-in TV speakers on my 42" Vizio, this thing is amazing. It seems well constructed, comes with a remote and a wireless subwoofer and has is bluetooth compatible so I can also stream music from my iPhone. There are various audio settings, but otherwise not a lot of customization options. I've only had it for a couple of weeks now, but I'm very happy with it so far and wish I had gotten one sooner. One caveat, however: make sure the device you're planning to plug this into has an optical port. Luckily, my 6 year-old TV does, but if yours doesn't you'd be out of luck.

not bad for the price
Just ok...not bad for the price. The bluetooth feature is not the best. I find our cell phones don't connect to it well. The volume on it for the tv randomly goes up and down. Its ok, but may get something a little nicer later.

A WORTHWHILE EXPERIENCE IN SOUND EQUIPMENT
I don't have lots of sophisticated sound equipment to use it with but the potential is there. I don't know everything about it (like a sub-woofer??) but it will be fun learning as I move on. I like it's low-profile design and it spreads the sound out to a nice wide area. And wireless, I love anytime I can interface electronic equipment with minimal wiring necessary. I had bought it because of the price and then had thoughts of whether I should keep it. Well, I did and I'm glad. One down-side consideration is that I now have yet another remote control in a box alongside me when I watch TV.
