I set out to fix a problem. For years, my hair has lived in an uncomfortable middle ground. Thick. Cooperative on some days. Unpredictable on others. Straight if I leave it alone. Wavy if I add product. Professional-looking only under very specific conditions that I never seemed able to replicate twice. I tried doing nothing. Too flat. Too dry. Fine for ten minutes, then lifeless. I tried curl products. Too heavy. Too greasy. One step too far and suddenly my hair looked overworked instead of intentional. I tried oils. Helpful, but incomplete. Shine without control. Softness without structure. What I wanted was simple, even if I didn’t have the language for it at the time: I wanted my hair to look finished without looking done. That’s where this product comes in. ⸻ The First Use: Immediate Clarity The first time I used Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Crème, the difference was obvious before my hair even dried. The texture is richer than most leave-ins, but it spreads easily and absorbs instead of sitting on the surface. There’s no slippery residue, no waxy coating, and no sense that you’ve crossed into “too much product” territory. Applied to soaking wet hair, it immediately adds a sense of weight — not heaviness, but control. Strands group together naturally instead of separating into frizz or collapsing into limpness. By the time my hair dried, the look I usually have to chase was just… there. Smooth. Polished. Intentional. Not stiff. Not shiny in an artificial way. Just healthy-looking hair that seemed to know what it was supposed to do. ⸻ What This Product Actually Does Supershine is not a gel. It is not a pomade. It is not a curl enhancer pretending to be something else. It is a leave-in conditioner that happens to style your hair by improving it rather than forcing it. There is no crunch. No lock-in hold. No “frozen” shape. The control comes from hydration and soft weight, which allows hair to settle into place and stay there naturally. Your hair still moves. If the wind hits it, it shifts — and then falls back into place instead of exploding outward or collapsing. That distinction matters more than any marketing term. ⸻ The Look: Professional, Not Styled This is the first product I’ve used that consistently gives me what I think of as a “favorite hair day” look. Not dramatic. Not trendy. Just clean, controlled, and confident. It works especially well if you like: • Slicked-back or swept-back styles that don’t look rigid • Defined sections instead of uniform flatness • Shine that looks like healthy hair, not wet hair It reads as intentional without announcing that you used a product. That’s rare. ⸻ Consistency Over Time One of the most frustrating things about mid-range hair products is how inconsistent they are. One day they work perfectly. The next day they don’t. Weather changes. Water changes. Your application changes slightly, and the result falls apart. Supershine doesn’t do that. Same amount. Same method. Same result. Day after day, it behaves exactly the same way. That reliability alone separates it from most products I’ve tried, regardless of price. ⸻ Scent and Experience The scent deserves mention because it reinforces what this product is trying to be. It smells refined. Clean. Subtle. More like a well-designed fragrance than a hair product. It doesn’t linger aggressively, but it does make the experience feel intentional and elevated. It’s the kind of detail that signals this was designed by people who care about how things feel, not just how they perform. ⸻ How I Use It I apply a small amount to soaking wet hair after showering and comb or smooth it into place. That’s it. No layering. No stacking products. No fixing mistakes later. If I want a touch more shine once dry, a minimal amount of lightweight oil on the ends is enough — but most days, Supershine does the job on its own. It replaces multiple products in one step. ⸻ Pros • Produces a polished, professional finish without stiffness • Controls thick hair through hydration, not hold • Extremely consistent results • Lightweight feel despite rich conditioning • Elevated scent and overall experience Cons • Premium price • Not designed for strong hold or textured, gritty styles ⸻ Final Thoughts: The Product That Ended the Search This wasn’t just another hair product for me. It was the end of a long trial-and-error process. Instead of adjusting my expectations to fit a product, this one met me where my hair actually is. It made my hair easier to live with, easier to trust, and easier to forget about once I walk out the door. If you want hair that looks intentional, feels natural, and behaves the same way every time, this is worth the investment. It doesn’t try to impress you. It just quietly works. And that’s exactly why it stands out. Review: Fine? Fried? Overprocessed? The gold standard for hydration and sunshine 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Holy Grail! They saved my hair! If your hair is damaged, overprocessed, or just going through it — this cream is a total must-have. I have fine, color-treated hair that’s seen bleach, heat damage, breakage, the works. This is one of the few products that actually helps long term. After shampoo and detangler (let it sit 3 min), I take a little more than a pea-sized amount, rub it between my palms to warm it up, then apply mid-shaft to ends before blow drying. It spreads easier when warmed — and remember, start small. You can always add more. It’s lightweight but rich, smells amazing (clean, floral, luxe), and instantly softens without weighing down. Helps with detangling, reduces frizz, and gives that glossy, healthy finish — even when my hair was long and damaged, this worked. Now that it’s shorter and recovering, I still won’t go without it. Pro tip: If you get caught in rain or humidity midday, this helps reset the hair — then follow up with a touch of oil on the ends to smooth and rehydrate. It brings your style back to life. Also, don’t be afraid of silicones. If your hair is damaged, you need them — they protect the cuticle, prevent splits from moving up, and stop breakage. I went to Paul Mitchell school to learn how to care for my own hair, and this is one of the few luxury products I fully stand behind. ⸻ Key Ingredients: ✨ Dimethicone – smooths + protects 🌻 Sunflower Extract – strengthens 🌸 Oribe Signature Complex – Watermelon, Lychee, Edelweiss 💧 Glycerin – hydrates without heaviness #desertcartFinds #FineHairFix #OverprocessedHairHelp #FrizzControl #OribeSupershine #SiliconeSaves #LuxuryHaircare #HairRecoveryRoutine #LeaveInLove #BlowdryPrep #HealthyHairTips #DobermomApproved As someone who values the nuances of product performance, I can confidently say that the Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream stands out in every aspect. Texture & Application: The cream boasts a silky, non-greasy texture that glides effortlessly through damp hair. A small amount goes a long way, making the product both effective and economical. Scent: It carries a subtle, luxurious fragrance that lingers pleasantly without being overpowering. The scent is reminiscent of high-end salon products, adding to the overall experience. Performance: Upon application, the cream transforms the hair, imparting a noticeable shine and softness. It effectively tames frizz and flyaways, leaving the hair looking polished and healthy. While it takes approximately 25–30 minutes to dry naturally, the results are well worth the wait. Packaging: The product comes in a sleek, easy-to-use tube that dispenses the right amount without any mess. Its design is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, reflecting the premium quality of the product inside. Key Ingredients: • Oribe Signature Complex: A blend of watermelon, lychee, and edelweiss flower extracts that protect the hair from oxidative stress and environmental damage. • Vegetable-Derived Protein: Helps retain moisture and adds high shine. • Ginger Root Extract: Softens and strengthens hair from root to tip. • Moringa Seed Extract: Enhances natural color and shine. • Soy Protein Biopolymer: Provides anti-frizz benefits without buildup. Final Thoughts: This moisturizing cream is a testament to Oribe’s commitment to quality and performance. It’s a product that delivers tangible results, making it a worthwhile investment for anyone seeking to elevate their hair care routine. #OribeSupershine #HairCareExcellence #LuxuryHairProduct #FrizzControl #ShinyHair #desertcartFinds #SalonQuality #HairHydration #OribeLove

I initially wanted to return this product because I thought it was either expired or a fake. This is because I have a version from a reputation UK retailer and it had quite a few differences to the Amazon-bought version, namely: 1) The Amazon-bought version is a darker blue tube. 2) The addresses and labelling differ. 3) There are some tiny differences in ingredients. 4) They do not smell the same. But that said, the Amazon one doesn't smell bad, just different. 5) The UK retailer-bought one has a foiled seal on the mouth of the tube, the Amazon-bought version does not. However upon some research I realised the UK version, which bears the EAC mark, could be different because of EAC standards. Hence, I concluded the Amazon version is not a fake and decided not to return it. I've attached some pictures on the differences; the UK version is always on the left while the Amazon one is always on the right. Also, this is one of the most brilliant products from Oribe I've ever tried. Keeps the hair shiny, smooth and frizz-free, does not feel heavy on my fine hair.
