Good to go on the North Shore
I surf Oahu's North Shore in the winter (Chuns, Leftovers, Puaena) and have never had an issue with this leash. This has gotten stretched on big waves and doesn't show any signs of wear and tear. Great buy for the price.

Best Leash For Real Deal Hawaiian Surf
I ordered 4 . Its the beginning of winter and we've had back to back NW Swells here in Hawaii. I had an older DaKine leash break in some serious surf at a shark cutter reef ,. NOT doing that again. Looked for a thick 6' big wave leash and I couldn't believe they made them !! This leash is a beast. Not for 1 to 2 foot east coast with onshore ~ lol more for 6 to 8 foot Hawaiian Bombs

Dakine gear. Great deal, does its job in 5ft and lower haven’t used in bigger surf yet.

Fantastic Leash according to a guy who's surfed twice
Yes, I am a beginner newbie surfer, but my research and several minutes of watching YouTube videos suggested that this was an exceptional leash. It has been comfortable and reliable so far, and I anticipate that it will continue to be so. It is built like a brick outhouse and the velcro is top notch. I don't have anything negative to say about it.

A little Short for beginner
i'm fairly new to surfing and having the short leash is helpful for retrieving the board. But when the interval between waves/sets is quick the short lease adds more of a pull to when you are off your board and the waves are going by. Just something to be aware of. Otherwise the leash feels stringer and better than the leash that comes with most boards! Would buy one again, maybe a little longer

Good product
I’m 61 years old and that is too old to be caught out in the ocean without a surfboard. I have several of these leashes and they are extremely good quality and heavy duty for the size waves that I surf. I even use them on small days. I won’t take chances with a cheaper leash.

I've been looking for the above picture leash as advertised BUT received this instead. Both are labelled as Electric Tropical. Too expensive to return. Might as well use it.
