Sorelle Dondola Gliding Cradle - White

Easy to put together, very cute and seems sturdy- my 2 year old keeps climbing all over it and it hasn't hurt it any. LOVE the size, can be used long after our 15 lb limit bassinet was with the previous child! Really happy with the side to side gliding movement, feels much safer to me than other cradles.

I ordered this a few month ago when we needed a safer place than our sofa to keep DS sleep and play in our living room downstairs. It has been working very well, even though he is almost 6 months old, this cradle has plenty of room for him to grow until he's two. I put together this cradle used about an hour, all by my own. I ordered this firm replacement mattress Cradle Mattress - 18 X 36 X 2" Thick , and this super-soft cradle fitted sheet American Baby Company Heavenly Soft Chenille Cradle Sheet, Ecru and this BreathableBaby Breathable Bumper for Portable and Cradle Cribs, White for him so he won't stuck his hands and feet between rails, everything works well! The wood is solid and the bottom board is heavy, it looks very comfortable and he loves to sleep in it. I would recommend other new parents to save their money to get this instead of a bassinet. **Update 10/06/2012** My DS is now almost 8 month old. He have been starting to sit up and try to learn to stand up while using his sleeping areas (Yes, he has this cradle, his travel cot, and his crib. Now we just got him a playpen, too!) As I mentioned in a comment, once your baby is learning to push himself up to learn to stand, it will be time for you to stop using this cradle during his waking hours. Unlike crib, the depth of this cradle cannot be adjustable, and the height of its rails is shallow for a 7 month old, who begin to push himself up to learn to stand. Therefore, I would still use it for napping purpose, only I would wait after DS fall asleep on my arm first. But as soon as he's awake, I would transfer him out of this cradle to avoid him getting hurt by falling off of it. I would also suggest if you still going to use this cradle AFTER your LO learned to push himself up, make sure you against it to a corner of the wall, and never try to against this cradle to an armchair, or anything that would make your baby easily grab the surface of the furniture and climb out! My DS tried once, climbed himself out of this cradle, only a few days after he learned to sit up! I only left him for 5 minutes to wash his bottle and make his formula, when I came back, I caught him lying on the top of my armchair!!! So be very careful once your LO learned to sit and try to hold on an edge to stand up.

While I cannot attest to the assembly part of it (we hired someone to put it together), I felt compelled to write a review: this cradle is very good! It glides so easily you can push it with your pinkie, it has never made even the faintest squeek, and it is a good size and sturdy. I felt obligated to write a review since we love this bed so much, and the baby has been sleeping through the night; credit should be given to outstanding products!

Too cumbersome to assemble the product, took approx 2hrs ... The product assembly guide attached has too small font..

Love love love this cradle! Very simple, well made, look nice and elegant. And the most important, my baby loved it! We were able to use it first 4 months. After that was to small (my lo is a big baby). The mattress/pad is not that good. I got another- better one from babies store.

We just put together the cradle the other day. I was pleasantly surprised on how sturdy the cradle is. It surpasses my expections. We put it together and moved it over carpet and tile and again, I was surprised on how easy it maneuvered. I had a bassinett.before, but am now having twins and wanted something bigger. This will be perfect. It even holds up to 50 lbs versus the 20 lbs in the bassinett. So far, I am loving the cradle. We will see how well I like it with two babies in it in two months. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the cradle mattress it comes with is cheesy. I did spend the extra money and buy a nicer/thicker cradle mattress. Great buy for the money and looks fantastic.

So far....missing the casters.(wheels), missing 8 dowels needed to out together! My husband has to go to Lowes to buy parts to finish assembling! Not happy! So I try to find "contact the seller" & of course in this purchase there is no "contact the seller" tab. Why? Because Amazon is the seller...so I guess you can't contact them. Not happy at all with this purchase! No excuse for this rediculousness! Sending back. Also, the glider part is not for a baby...

It is sturdy, not cheap looking, price couldn't be more right than this, glides very smoothly, wheels are just perfect. I carry it from room to room with no problem. Wheels have breaks that work great. Even you lock the gliding, it still moves a bit which is good so you can give a little move to baby without disturbing her during sleep. My baby only weeks old, so she prefers to sleep in my arms during day time, but night time she sleeps in her bassinet with no problem. And the mattress.... It is thin, yes. But this is not a crib mattress, it is a glider. I was also skeptical about it so i checked the mattress they used in the hospital and it is the same one. I feel confident using it.
