Easy
It is a five to ten minute install. Anyone who is struggling needs to find a helper. Perfect fit for my 870.

Well built and sturdy
Works well, very sturdy and well built. 40 shells of 12g buckshot didn't change the zero on the Vortex Venom I mounted on top. The shell caddy is a little tight but I'd prefer that over loose. Love it!

Fits well on 870 SP
I bought this in good condition, so someone else ordered it and returned it. Everything was there and more. No signs of damage other than box had a tear and there were no instructions. It fit my Remington 870 SP like a glove using thin pin in front and large pin in back. I had read about damage to receiver due to rubbing, so I traced the outline of unit on gun with a pencil, removed it, then put gorilla extra tough clear tape next to the pencil marks under where the saddle would go. Slipped the saddle on, put in pins with Loctite blue, and done. Don't really think I needed the tape but it should not hurt. I did not use the shell holder due to this being my turkey gun.

Does not sit high enough above the gun to use the iron sites and tends to scratch the gun.
Fits remington 12ga without modification. Says you can use iron sights and has a see through for that purpose. I find the scope mount does not see high enough above the reciever to use the iron sites.it hard to line up the rear site with front site. Mount also tends to scratch the gun. I used two sided tape to prevent the gun from being scratched.

Fits my Remington 870 perfect
Attaching into my Remington 870 Was fairly simple and once attached, I love the look! I’ve added on one by two red dot and definitely recommend this product

Nice but...
Be aware the bolts that shipped with this unit will not fit a 870 Wingmaster. They are substantially larger than the original pins. I received 3 threaded bolts all 3 the wrong size. It also did not come with any screws to mount the shell holder on. Decription says that an allen key is included but it is not. Just as well because the bolts require a 'star' key. How hard is it to include the correct fasteners? Aperantly pretty hard.

Superior Quality
I purchased a few of these made by different manufacturers at different price points and this one stands out as the best... superior materials and construction...and everything needed for installation. The detachable shell side saddle is ingenious, especially when using a folding stock. More expensive doesn't mean better!
