ADVICE ON BUYING PROJECTORS + REVIEW - I GIVE THIS UNIT 5 STARS (except for reading online)
GET EXTENDED WARRANTY WHEN YOU ADD TO CARTBefore I begin, let me stress that you should always get an extended warranty with these items. Some projectors will advertise a certain number of hours of use before the lamp stops working, but those estimates are sometimes WAY off. I once had a projector stop working in the first year! Which is fine when you are in the 1 year warranty period, but if it quits shortly thereafter and you don't have an extended, you're out a substantial purchse. I just recently purchased this unit, so I cannot yet vouch for how long it will last, but I purchased a 3 year extended warranty, so I will be covered by that after the original warranty runs out. Now, on to the features!PICTURE QUALITY720p native resolution gives you a very clear picture. This unit was the best value/price for 720p native resolution. Make sure you look for 1280×720 px for 720p native resolution. Many projectors are labeled 1080p but are not 1080p native resoultion (some of them are 480p natively which looks super blurry!).This unit has all the features I needed to get a beautiful picture. You can position the unit near the ceiling and it has a dial in the back that allows you to adjust the angle so you get a symmetrical (even) picture. I chose to place my projector on a small wooden TV tray type table (slightly taller than a coffee table) and was also able to get an even picture after adjusting the dial in the back.BRIGHTNESS (VERY BRIGHT!) AND ADJUSTMENT OPTIONSI have a 150" screen, and the projector was super bright at that distance, even during the day (with the curtains and blinds closed, but with some light leaking through). In fact, it was almost too bright at first and I had to adjust the brightness and contrast. You can choose from several picture modes or adjust it manually. This way you can get a rich or mild picture that's very bright or moderately bright, without having to adjust it manually. I like the manual control as an option, for specific video content (especially live television, which has some shows like Law & Order which are darker, whereas other shows might be overly bright).Connected the unit via HDMI to Comcast X1 and got a beautiful picture, although again it's not 1080p. Still very clear and suits my needs (and budget!).USING WITH ANDROID TV BOXConnected the unit to an android TV box and watched YouTube, played video games, watched movies and shows, and browsed the internet in Google Chrome. LOVED it for all of those uses, EXCEPT going online, as 720p resolution is not ideal for reading text online.USING TO BROWSE INTERNET (NOT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR THIS PARTICULAR USE):NOTE: If you plan to do much online (facebook, reading, Google) and/or use a projector as a primary monitor for a PC, I would recommend getting a 1080p (which is 1920X1080 *native resolution*) or higher projector rather than this unit, but again the price is going to jump so be prepared. For occasional internet browsing, this unit is fine, although text in Chrome isn't always easy to read w/this unit without zooming in (which you can do by pressing CTRL + or -, and then CTRL + 0 to reset the zoom on your browser).SOUND OPTIONSOne thing I liked about this unit versus the projector I had before this one is that the volume of the built in speakers can be turned down (off, in my case!) without affecting the output volume of the Audio Out RCA jacks on the back of the unit. In other words, my Sony surround sound system has its own remote, so I was able to use that for the audio and get a big sound & control the volume with the Sony remote... Whereas on another unit I bought, if you tried turning down the built in speakers, it turned down the volume of your stereo, so you were stuck with the built in speakers "always on." This unit does NOT have that problem, thankfully! Was very pleased about that!! :)

Excelvan will not provide customer service
Worked barely acceptable for two years of use. It had major issues with hdmi connectivity to our ps3. The fan was obnoxiously loud and popping when connected to the ps3 via a high speed hdmi cable. 10-20 percent of the time it would operate okay enough to stream movies and play games on but we had to be patient and keep turning it on and off until the obnoxiously loud noice and popping dissipated. We tried contacting Excelvan during our warranty period to help us troubleshoot the issue or assist with repairs however every attempt to contact the company was unsuccessful. Customer service was nonexistent unfortunately. The projector finally decided it was no longer going to turn back on at the end of November 2017. It was not the fuse. Which by the way they give you a replacement fuse however there is no way to access the fuse location inside the projector without running the risk of damaging a long list of things.Long story short don’t buy it unless you really have the patience don’t need the company’s help with anything.I should have returned it.

It's what you pay. Good for kids.
I bought this projector and I returned it because it wasn't what expected.1- This is not at all 3000 lumens. The seller told me that is true that is not 3000 ANSI lumens, but it is 3000 Chinese lumens that it's much less than ANSI. That's not fair, they should clarify that on the description of the product since all projectors works with ANSI lumens. This is not an office projector, you need to put the place very dark to be able to see the picture.2- the picture is 720p but the quality still not great. It is brighter on the center and darker on the sides. It's also out of focus in some areas even when you have the projector right in front of the wall and when you are not using keystone.3- the colours are just not great. This projector have those problems, but it's very cheap. It's what you pay, don't expect more. I just wanted it for me to watch movies, but After seeing the quality I prefer just to use the tv. I returned it and bought a more expensive one. I think this projector is great if you have kids and you want to surprise them with a big screen for watch movies and play games for low price.

amazing picture size and quality
I have never written a review on Amazon before, but I just felt the need to express how pleased I am with this projector. I needed to replace my old projector I had in my basement and this one pleasantly surprised me! It was half the cost of my old Optoma which was not HD but did seem to be a bit brighter than this one, and the screen size from this projector is almost twice the size as the other one was from the same distance. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because A) it does seem to be a little less bright than I expected for 3000 lumens, and B) when I adjusted the keystone (which is a dial on the back - not a button or menu option) I noticed that to have the picture perfectly straight on the screen it distorts the focus in a way that I can't seem to fix. I had to turn the dial all the way to the left to make the picture straight. When I do this, the top of the screen goes a bit out of focus, while the rest of the screen looks fine. If I turn the dial just a hair to the right, it gives the picture a very slight angle (so much so, that you can hardly notice) but the picture is perfectly clear....and yes I tried adjusting the focus with it straight up and down, but it only made it worse. It took me a few days of playing around with it to figure out to adjust the keystone down a bit to get a perfectly clear picture. Other than that, I absolutely love this thing!

Not a great projector
3000 Lumen but not effective and the contrast is really low. The image quality is not great though the video quality is great. It is not a great projector and i would probably never recommend anyone to buy this projector.
