This is a great product and is comparable to high-end brands that does the same thing. It comes in fun colors for those that want to match their kitchen accessory or add a bit of flair. The side handles are sturdy, even though it's plastic, to withhold the pressure used to push down and cut vegetables. The steel blades don't rust easily and hasn't gone dull on me like other ones I've used. Because of the wide side handles and product design of the blades, it's safe for kids to use (under adult supervision) and great to have the littles one take part in cooking time. You can use it for almost any vegetable similar to potatoes (I use it for apples to put in salads, beets, radishes, and carrots). Just make sure to cut the vegetable in half so you have a flat surface for stability-makes it much easier. You don't need to apply your entire body weight (like some other ones I've used) to push down, and it's a symmetric cut everytime. My kids and friends love using it and two have already bought it for themselves. Overall, great quality, does the job, multi functional usage, fits the description and comparable to similar ones for a better price.
