First-Time Stollen: Yum
I got a bug up my posterior while off for the holidays to make homemade stollen (thanks British baking show). No local store carries what is, essentially, fruitcake mix. Of course, I checked out Amazon. The stollen came out amazing, no small thanks to this fruit mix. On its own, I found it bitter and sticky. Hope sprang eternal (and I'm glad it did), I soaked portions in a small variety of alcohols. After mixing into the stollen and baking, the mix mellowed enough to allow the fruit flavors to come through in a subtle fashion: sweet, citrus, bitter. You could even detect differences amongst the bits. This made for a very dynamic, delicious holiday bread.I shall be ordering this again.

Liked it a lot
Tasty. I liked the mix a lot, and one of the things that I appreciated the most was the size was easy to use. Instead of scooping sticky mix out of a larger container, just dump the whole package in the bowl for a smallish fruitcake. This mix, a cup or so of raisins or dates, as well as any more dried fruits you'd like, add in a half box of graham cracker crumbs and a can of sweetened condensed milk, pat into a loaf pan and bake for an hour. Wonderful, easy fruitcake that's much like a lot of the mail order bakeries sell this time of year.

Good product, would be great if it did not have HFCS.
First time using this in plum pudding. Worked very well and added a nice flavor to the mix. My only concern is the use of HFCS. I would give it 5 stars if it used natural sugar.

Delicious for fruitcake
I couldn't find any candied fruit at my local grocers. They all said they don't carry it any more. This was perfect for making two fruitcakes. The fruit was moist and delicious. I don't know why fruitcake has gotten such a bad rap. It's just dried fruit and nuts smothered in brandy, and we love it. Glad to know I can order it online.

Very Good Fruit Cake Mix -- very tasty
Very good fruit mix which I used to make fruit cake. I actually used half of the bag, since it was not a huge fruitcake recipe. The fruit was moist, but not "wet", which I liked. If you add white raisins and your chopped pecans, you've got an easy fruitcake that is very fast and easy to prepare. Will definitely order this next fall, for holiday cakes. And the taste was great.

Amazon comes through again
My family actually likes fruitcake (yes, there really are some of us) and not just at Christmas. The fruit is plentiful just before Christmas but I didn't get around to buying extra for when we run out. The thought when I can't find anything (really, anything!) locally is to check Amazon. As usual, they came through. Price is better than I was paying at grocery store and quality is the same.

Tiny chunks
I ordered this not realizing the chunks were very very small. It should say "diced" fruit. The flavor is satisfactory, but I was disappointed that it was not the larger chunks of candied fruit.

Great choice
I was surprised to find no large containers of fruitcake fruits at our only supermarket. The only choice was small containers and I do not do small batches! Resorting to Amazon, I could not imagine I could buy food items. Not only were there choices, but the delivery to our remote area was less than 2 days. I was not familiar with this brand, but my "fruitcake friends" tell me it was the best one ever! Maybe it was the brandy?
