Can you wear it out of the dryer after washing?

I hand-washed this shirt upon opening. To my surprise, it did not air-dry wrinkle-free! For that reason, I probably would not buy it again. In this day and age, who has an iron handy? I'm a very older woman and I gave up ironing decades ago!! Also, I hand-wash a lot of things--I live alone and don't want to waste resources. The style and fit are OK (small).

What is the material? Is it soft?

100% Cotton material. It is not as soft as I expected, and the fabric is sheer. I would suggest wearing a camisole under it to hide your bra. The shirt is one to two sizes too LARGE and the bottom half is very wide. I am not a thin woman, but this shirt feels more like a tent! I would not recommend it.
