This cord worked really well for my recent flight and stayed compact and coiled for every flight leg I was on. My only small complaint is that it isn't quite long enough to plug in to a Boeing 777 or Airbus A350 entertainment system and then into noise cancelling headphones and keep the coil relaxed. An inch or 2 longer would have been perfect. At the same time, the sound quality is excellent and it seems very durable. I will use it on future flights and for my Fire tablet in the future

The cord barely stretches 2 feet. It yanked the headphones right off my head from 20" away. I didn't bother testing the sound. They are completely unusable.

Nice quality audio cable, but it’s about 12-18 inches too short to comfortably reach from a DJ mixer while standing up.I have unplugged myself a couple times practicing.YMMV - but unless you’re under 5’5” or set your gear up really high, you probably want a bit longer cable.It’s too short to reach from my front pants pocket to plug an iPod in, so I’m not exactly sure who it’s for, maybe if you keep your phone in your jacket while skiing/snowboarding or like, the distance between an Xbox controller and a headset when you’re sitting down playing games.The connectors are nice and reinforced with springs.The audio cable is very thin, and slightly stiff - the coils are very tight and don’t want to stretch very much.High quality for the price.

Having this coiled patch cord with both a side & straight plug works well when connecting an old Nano to a portable Bluetooth speaker whenever it's out of range from the source; great quality & function.

Bought this to use for air travel for in flight entertainment where you plug in audio under the screen in front of you. This cord was too short. Technically, it wasn't too short because if you gorilla-armed-stretch it it spans the distance just fine with room to spare. Practically, however, it was too short because when you let go of the cord after plugging it in, it recoils and tugs your headphones forward. What is crazy is that the distance between one's head and the screen in economy class is less than 2.5 feet. Pulling just this short distance creates uncomfortable tension that is not desireable for a lengthly flight. I don't suggest using this for air travel, folks. I wish the coil wasn't quite as aggressively sprung.

The coil. It's so much more than slack control. It's testion control too. Fully supports the weight of my phone. No more jerking the plug out. And the right angle for the car end? Perfect. Also the straight ends collar is threaded and can be removed if you need to squeeze it into a tight space.
