Couldn't be easier or better!
Great product and easy to re-texture the house. We needed to replace some boards which were damaged by water hitting the house and needed to match the existing texture coat. First I got a quote from a local company of $650 to texture a 8'x10' space. I thought that was high, so I looked on Amazon and found this stuff. For less than $15 and about 20 minutes time, the job was done and matched perfectly. I couldn't be happier.

Another Great Zinssers Product!
I actually didn’t add this product to paint but instead added a small amount of it to some Zinssers popcorn ceiling patch. We had removed an old fluorescent light box from over the kitchen island and after repairing the resulting three holes and crack, we needed to retexture the area to match the rest of the ceiling. The Zinssers ceiling patch contained particles that were too fine to match our existing popcorn ceiling. But by adding some of this Zinssers course paint additive to the patch it worked just about perfectly. I simply mixed a few tablespoons of the additive into some of the patch, practiced a little bit on a spare piece of sheet rock, then applied the mixture to the ceiling repair using a putty knife and a paintbrush to dab at it. We then allowed the patch to dry a few days, painted the entire kitchen ceiling and voila’—we’re very happy with the results and very pleased that this additive is available in the course texture we needed!

This has some real size to the particles
Particles larger than I expected, will need to get a smaller size particle next time. They do mix well with paint.

Very messy
Not a bad look when finished but super messy and hard to work with. Can only do small areas at a time.

Game changer!
If you are trying to fix a spot or redo a whole bathroom ceiling like I was, use this! I would recommend priming first even if the paint you are mixing it with has primer in it. This stuff saved me so much money. And make sure you hang plastic up over the walls and cover the the floor because it does make a mess but if you want to do the job yourself and save a ton of money, this is the way to go.

Perfect
When I opened the box, I was doubtful that this was what I needed to be able to match the texture of an already existing textured wall that was at least 35 years old. The contents seemed to be more powder than texture. It also seemed that the textured pieces would be likely to dissolve. I first tried adding according to the directions but to only a fraction of paint and textured described. It was perfect and dried on the wall as a perfect match.

This stuff is terrible :(
I'm not sure why the ratings are high for this product when I found it basically impossible to use! It's messy, and most of the texture stays on the brush instead of going on the ceiling! Unless there is something that I did wrong, I do not recommend!!!

Worked better than expected
To extended my Lanai I had to remove an existing wall which left a lot of silicone caulk. Removing the caulk removed the texture. It took 4 coats of this texture additive but I'm please with the results.
