Is this DVD playable on US players? And does it have English subtitles.
I loved "Deutschland 83" and I have been looking for DVDs for "Deutschland 86" and "Deutschland 89" ever since. One DVD says that it is a Region 2 DVD, which doesn't help me. This one does not say that, but there is no place to ask questions. I would buy it if it were Region 1 or would play on US players. I really enjoyed watching the series--all three of them. And I would like to own the DVDs.

When will Deutschland 86 (second season to 83) be Region 1 USA compatible?Loved Deutschland 83 as a former East Berliner then West then USA transplant. Would love to be able to watch the continuation but only version on Amazon of 86 is not able to play on US DVD players.

Tolle Serie .............Empfehlenswert.
Ich hatte die BD's dieser Serie schon länger im Auge und kann sie wärmstens empfehlen .Natürlich sollte man die 1.Staffel kennen um den Handlungsverlauf zu verstehen.

Tolle Serie
Sehr tolle und anschauliche Serie, für jeden der interesse an der Geschichte DDR und die Stasi hat, sollte sich die ansehen wobei ich Deutschland 83 am besten finde aber auch die anderen beiden 86 und 89 sind sehenswert. Schaue sie gerne noch öfter.
