The Basic Principles of People Analytics wonderfully identifies the nuances of the field, provides suggestions of additional resources, and makes what could be a complicated topic, simple for readers who may not have any exposure to the field. A great starting point for those who want to start building a foundational understanding of the growing field of people analytics.

There are lots of discussions about people analytics nowadays. Reading this book enabled me to participate or at least follow the discussion. I highly recommend all HR practitioners to read this book.

Concise and practical booklet which really shows the potential of HR analytics and how to apply it

This book is about 100 pages of very basic information. The information is not very specific to HR and there are very few examples of actual analysis. Lot of fluff. Certainly not worth $42.

Amazing book to start your people analytics journey! The information is provided in an easy and structured way. I had a few questions about the book and emailed the author, Erik Van Vulpen, who got back to me immediately with some additional information. I started implementing the ideas described in the book in my company and everyone has been very pleased. Really good book and I highly recommend it to everyone who is in HR and Operations. Go buy this book now!!!

There was some examples but none covering each step stated in the book, and explanation on analytics aspects like correlation or other techniques were VERY limited :(
