Good idea but doesn't work in practice
I love the idea of this toy because it encourages imaginative play. The problem is, it doesn't stay connected to the app. We couldn't use it for more than a minute or two without being disconnected, and then there were even times when it wouldn't connect to begin with. It was so frustrating... and kind of a bummer to give to a kid who WANTS to play with it.

Very cool!
I purchased the Moff Band as a holiday gift for my friend's 8-year-old. He is very much into cool tech toys and his parents have the latest in tech gadgets. So, I wanted to get something that seemed cool and fun… this Moff toy did not disappoint! He immediately went to the App Store and downloaded two Moff apps on his iPad — the PBS KIDS Party app and the Moff Sounds app. The PBS Party app was so much fun, especially since he could record his own sounds and use the Moff Band to run around play them back. He was doing this non-stop and got everyone excited to want to play with this Moff Band.This is a great gift because it is easy for any kid with an iPad/iPhone to use and play right away. And makes the person giving the gift seem like a “super cool, high tech” adult!

don't waste your money
It takes too long to link to phone.If and when it does it loses connection too many times for a kid the account play with it.Its also a little misleading the sound comes from the phone so ur phone becomes useless when playing.

Awesome Product - Highly Recommend
I bought this band for my 10 year old nephew, and he hasn't been able to take it off yet! With a vast array of sounds to choose from, he has finally put down his xbox controller and continues to actively move his arm and body to perfect his sounds. With a prior interest in music, he has really enjoyed perfecting the guitar and drum sounds. It is amazing how this band not only keeps him more active, but also helps him pursue his interest in music. The only thing I have to do now is buy his younger brother a band so they can sync up together! Excited to see the future sounds Moff continues to develop!

We ordered these and put them under the tree for the kids from Santa. They both came with dead batteries! You would think they would come with new batteries straight from the company

A Fun Little Device
Reading the reviews here, I noticed someone complaining about the delay of the sound. I had no problems with it. I was actually surprised by the little to no delay with the sound. One thing I'm curious about this device is if the app update can improve the motion detection. I felt like it's too sensitive and responds to basically any motion. Also the variation of the sounds. I wish the sound changes more, especially with the swords. When selecting one option, I wish the sound changes with different movements. But really, for the $60 I paid for this device, I really can't complain. So a fun little device, and for the price there is really nothing to complain about.
