Worked great for what I needed and for the price you can’t beat it

handy, easy to use

I liked that I could use it on any 3/8 ratchet.

I needed something for torquing in spots where a regular torque wrench just would not fit and this adapter came through for me. The digital readout is easy to see and being able to switch between units is actually super handy when specs are in different formats. It is a little bulky compared to a slimmer wrench but for tight torque values it gets the job done. Would probably also grab the half inch version at some point for lug nut work.

Worked perfectly to get the right torque when working on valve covers and didn't have the room to use a regular torque wrench.

I REALLY like this tool! I've never owned a torque wrench so can't compare to the traditional styles. I purchased due to needing to do some car engine work and was leery of snapping bolts. No issues with bolts breaking and I'm assuming it was accurate, as no leaks in the gaskets on the parts I installed. As other reviewers noted, you need room to work with this item. I did not have any issues watching the torque value.....when the bolts got snug I adjusted the rotation so I could see the display while I torqued the bolts. I was in a fairly quite place so no issues hearing the beeps. I had to read through the programming instructions a few times but once you get the hang of you can adjust very quickly. This was the perfect tool for a rookie like me who has no idea what different torque values feel like!

Excellent product, and a perfect supplement to my larger manual torque wrench. That's for heavy torque jobs, and this is perfect for the smaller, lighter work.

ACDelco licenses it's name to this product made by Durofix. After tightening two 5/16" bolts to 22 ft lbs, this unit completely separated from its housing at around 16 ft lbs attempting to tighten the third bolt. After speaking to Durofix about warranty service, it was completely apparent they had no interest in objectively looking to see if the product was defective. Gino (the "technician" I spoke with) was insistent that the product was neglected or misused, but said he would take a look at it if I sent the unit back to them. Sure enough a few weeks later I received the unit back with the following letter: "After close evaluation and maintenance of the tool, I have determined, that this tool has been neglected and misused, we warranty all of our tools for one year from the date of purchase, against workmanship and quality of the tool. NEGLECT AND MISUSE IS NOT PART OF OUR WARRANTY COVERAGE!! Thanks Gino" I am not sure how using the tool for one time, within the specified torque range, exactly how it was intended, is either neglect or misuse. But I guess it makes more financial sense to send a letter than replace a faulty product. If you are expecting an ACDelco quality product backed by a reputable warranty, look elsewhere.

It seems the torque adapter I received in March 2021 had been sat on the shelf for a long-time. The Certificate of Calibration was from 2010! Not sure whether this was a missprint or it actually is from that long ago, but it raises questions as to whether the accuracy of this adapter can be trusted straight out of the box. For the price I paid I'd expect a more uptodate calibration.

I'm awful at over torquing and this is a great cheap add compared to other wrenchs and a life saver when working on cars.

Bought for on-the-road tool kit, long distance motorcycle adventure touring. Works well, make sure you check what torque scale it's set to before each use, and that you understand the audible prompts before using it, or it is really easy to over-torque something. I used it with a 1/2" drive adaptor on some large fasteners, no problem. Brilliant piece for this application.
