sleek and simple, wish I got one sooner
I have quite enjoyed the ease of use of this little charging dock. The pin batter for charging is so much nicer than the plug style and I feel it will last a long time. It does have a cheap plastic feel and the light is kinda low quality if I was to be picky but it has a feature that you push down on the plastic and it raises it up, thus stopping the charge and also turning the light off. Great feature! I don't know specifics for how long it takes to charge your controller but I just store it on there and charge it. When I see it is green I pop the plastic shroud and it turns off and sits there till I am ready to use it again. Great product!

we have been popping batteries like no tomorrow
This is a review of the PowerA Charging Stand (Black) for Xbox One.Summary – Since we purchased our Xbox One, we have been popping batteries like no tomorrow. I even decided to swap out to Energize Lithium in hopes it would curb the appetite of the controller. The lithium batteries did provide a longer duration of gaming, however, was expensive and not something I intended to continue. This is working AMAZINGLY well! While there was not much documentation, I have found a full charge can take approx. 2.2 hours. The battery it uses is a Ni-Mh 2.4V and is 1100maH. Our use of this will pay for the device in no time.I was also very happy when it arrived as it only weighs .6lbs and NOT 250lbs as listed in the product dimensions on the listing. While the reviews were up and down, we have not had any issues so far. We place the controller on top of the unit, press down and when the light turns to red-orange, we know it is charging. When it is green, it is fully charged and we simply push it down so it pops up and no longer charges. We have never found a dead battery when we went to use and this has been 100% reliable since we purchased.Notes – Does not come with a wall adapter. You will need to connect this to a micro USB power source. While typical pc-device USB ports will work, it would be much slower and I have mine connected to a typical 2 amp phone USB wall charger with excellent results. As with all my reviews, I will update this review should this develop any issues with ongoing use.

Perfect Charge Station with one Reservation
Everything works well. It charges well. The battery fits well. The battery cover on the controller does too. The ONLY small design change I would make is to change the nook in which the controller sits on to include some lock-in feature. What I mean is, right now, you are placing the controller with the exposed back onto the dock and letting it freely set on the dock until the battery and the charger prongs on the station meet and subsequently charge. If the nook were a little bit wider such that the controller sit more flush to the dock, one would be able to quickly place the controller onto the dock and walk away. Right now, at times, you would have to do a little bit of a balancing act to make it sit perfectly into position to allow the charge to take place, which is sometimes annoying as the lazy person I am who wants to just quickly set it on and go about my day complaining about other minor inconveniences. Again, perfect charge station otherwise and for the price, it cannot be beaten.

Planned Obsolescence
I've been in the Xbox camp for many years. I was after something like the OEM rechargeable battery pack/charger Microsoft made for the 360 but updated for my XB One controllers. (Why can't they just make or license something like that again?)This technically fits that bill -- the packs are rechargeable (though the door they give you to allow the charging pins to connect to the dock did not work with any of my controllers) and the controller sits nicely in the dock while it charges.Only problem? The dock no longer recognizes the battery, and thus will not charge it, rendering the entire package useless save as a hollow, plastic controller stand. After less than six months, I'm too far out for a refund and this now goes straight in the garbage. Do not waste your time and money on lazy, off-brand products like this. And blame Microsoft for putting consumers like us in this position in the first place.

Great Buy! Don't Waste Money on the More Expensive Charger!
Congratulations! You just got an Xbox One Elite Controller. Finally! Uh-oh. You don't want to use batteries all the time, and the charger for this guy is 2/3rds the price of the controller itself? Wasn't that a little expensive already? I can relate!Well, I've got good news for you. I can definitely confirm that this charging stand works for the Xbox One Elite Controller! With some modifications.I have a dual Nyko charging stand for the standard controllers, and clipping the plastic pieces off the back of that slip-off battery case on the back won't work as the battery enclosure piece is actually a different shape on the Xbox One Elite Controller. There are 3 small plastic clips on the back of the plastic battery enclosure piece. You need to clip off the two side pieces. A lot of people have said to "shave" this part off somehow (like with a knife). I didn't do that. I used nail clippers instead, and it was perfect. First, you bite off the pieces you can see from the front, and they you trim some of the part behind the enclosure. You'll only get one try, so be careful! Once you do it, this enclosure snaps in like a charm! A microUSB cable is provided, however there is no wall adapter. That's okay though, you can plug into your Xbox on the side or back or use an existing USB Wall Plug Adapter. Any should work. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 star review is because the charge stand is a little awkward. The connector on the back of the controller takes a little bit to be set on the charger right every single time, and it also has to be "clicked in" -- or pressed down to click and charge. The LED light glows a dim red when charging and becomes a dim green when fully charged. Adding a quick video in adjacent to my review so you can see what I'm talking about. Overall an excellent buy. Certified by Xbox. About $60 cheaper than the other guy. Battery lasts a long time! Thanks!

Does the job, just OK build quality
Looks great and works well - but the build quality is just OK. My main gripe is that you have to get the controller aligned just right for it to charge. So you put it on, see a red light, shift it a bit and try again, see a red light, try again and see a green light and you're good. Wish they designed this to be more self-aligning so you just drop the controller on the charger and it ends up in the right spot. For reference, I'm using the original X-Box One Pro controller. You have to press on it if you want to manually engage/disengage the ability to charge - it feels a bit flimsy when doing this and doesn't transition between states very smoothly, but it does seem to work reliably. Happy with the purchase, but wish that the quality was better.

I love this thing
Positives first: 1) It has a tasteful LED that is red when charging, and green when fully charged. 2) You have to press the controller down to charge it, so no more of that "perma-charging" that other charge bases have, which can reduce your battery's life over the course of using it. 3) It can connect via USB for a cleaner look.Negatives second: 1) The top plastic that the controller rests on has a sheen that easily shows scratches. 2) The top plastic feels a bit wobbly at times, and is a reminder that one day the springs will break and press-to-charge functionality won't work properly. 3) They do not include a USB-to-Wall adapter for the charging cable, so if you want to spare the USB ports on your device you'll need to buy an adapter second.

Surprisingly good
I bought this with very low expectations, given some of the negative reviews. But it's great. I had no difficulties setting it up and it's worked perfectly since I got it (about a week ago). I'm delighted with it and I'm happy to recommend it. It's quite flimsy (what do you expect for the price) but looks OK and works perfectly.

Great, affordable battery replacement and charger.
I had ordered a different one from the Microsoft store and it was out of stock and after months I got tired of waiting and cancelled.I ordered this one, which was half the price, which arrived quickly. I saw a couple negative reviews about fit of the battery cover, but I had no such issue. I think that perhaps people who had issues charging didn't read the instructions. The base has a spring loaded movement that allows you to press and click to lock it into a 'not-charging' mode, just storing the controller. I guess this is in case you're worried about over-charging the battery.Press and click again and it will have your controller's new battery cover make contact with the charger and charge the battery. There is a line that wraps around the base that is red when charging and a bright green when the battery is full. I found the green to be a little too bright and considered putting tape on it, but instead moved it where it's not always in my peripheral vision when watching TV. This could be tweaked for future redesigns.Sometimes I will have to jiggle the controller to make sure it's sitting correctly and making contact with the charger, but this is hardly an issue and nothing I'll complain about considering what a great price this was.

Parfait
fonctionne parfaitement bien, la batterie tiens bien plus qu'une journée pour ma part, la recharge n'est pas trop lente (j'ai pas mesuré mais ça m'a jamais gêné). Niveau design moi j'adore (conforme aux photos).
