Senco repair kit works
Worked perfectly after installed. Small quantity of lub is included so no need to purchase it. Study carefully because every "O" ring is used. Use old parts to verify placement of new parts.

No instructions just an exploded diagram
This repair kit covers a number of models of Senco18 gage nailers. I have an older model SLP20 and there are a number of parts that are not for my particular nailer. There are 2 tricky issues. 1) The "rubber" bottom part of the cylinder (as shown on the exploded view) is a direct replacement for a hard plastic one that had broken on mine. 2) the trigger cylindrical valve shows one O ring on the diagram, but 2 O rings are necessary for the nailer to fire. The second O ring is included in a small plastic bag. Hint: use a piece of duct tape in the main cylinder to pull it out. Use needle nose pliers on the molded-in "nut" of the trigger valve to screw it out and put the new one in.

Bad Part - Slow Replacement
One of the key parts of the repair kit was defective. I contacted Senco and they did send a replacement part which worked, but it took a long time to receive the part, not to mention the time I spent troubleshooting and replacing failed parts.

Make sure this is what you need...and I'm no dummy.
Senco tech support pushed this kit on me when I described air leak. I bought it and I put it together. I did it right. It still leaked. I called tech support. He gave me some things to try (but had an attitude like he'd rather shoot himself in the eye with a brad nailer than to be doing his job). I took it apart multiple times and put it back together multiple times. It went back together the same way each time (seemingly correct). Still a leak. Tried it without certain parts to see if it seated correctly and the tolerances were good. This "test" confirmed my thought. I put it back together with a few of the old, most operative parts and got it working correctly. Tech support made it seem like there were some magic tolerance things happening that were not. My conclusion is that machines/machine tools for making the parts in their repair kit don't produce identical results. My original parts from 15 years ago were ever so slightly different than new oem replacements. Maybe some things get a little torqued or worn, etc. Bottom line. I probably could have taken it apart and put back together with original stuff and it would have worked but Senco upsold me, offered lackluster tech support and I'm out 40 bucks and 2 hours. Don't tease us with tech support and repairable tools. Just offer nothing like everyone else...just as good. PS: F.U. Lee Iacocoa.
