Love This Movie!
I recently purchased How the Grinch Stole Christmas on Amazon, and it's a must holiday classic. Jim Carrey’s hilarious and heartwarming portrayal of the Grinch brings this beloved Dr. Seuss tale to life, making the character both comically mischievous and surprisingly endearing. The supporting cast, especially the sweet Cindy Lou Who, adds warmth to the story, while the whimsical production design of Whoville captures the magic of the original book. Full of humor, heart, and a beautiful message about the true spirit of Christmas, this film is perfect for all ages and a fantastic addition to any holiday movie collection.

Great movie, good price,
This is one of my favorite things about Christmas. It’s become a tradition to plug in this movie, slip on the grinch slippers, hunker down with some cookies and hot chocolate in, you guessed it, my grinch mug, and have a few laughs. Good times!

“It's because I'm green isn't it?"
One of my favorite Christmas films. Jim Carrey was born to play the role of the cynical, jaded, and at-the-same-time likable, lovable Grinch. The set design, costumes, cinematography, music, and makeup is impeccable for a Dr. Seuss adapted work for the big screen. Taylor Momsen was a wonderful child actress as Cindy Lou Who. An iconic film that’s still a Christmas classic!

The Grinch
This is our most favorite Christmas movie. For those that have not seen it, here is a little overview/review.Jim Carrey’s portrayal of the Grinch in How the Grinch Stole Christmas is nothing short of iconic. This live-action adaptation of Dr. Seuss’s classic tale brings Whoville to life in a way that’s both whimsical and visually stunning, while Carrey’s performance takes center stage. Carrey completely embodies the Grinch, combining his signature physical comedy, sharp wit, and surprising emotional depth. His exaggerated facial expressions and improvisational humor breathe new life into the character, making him hilariously mischievous yet oddly relatable. Despite the Grinch’s grumpy demeanor, Carrey’s performance allows us to empathize with his backstory and root for his redemption. The set design is incredible, with Whoville looking like it leapt straight out of the book. The attention to detail—from the quirky architecture to the vibrant costumes—creates a magical, immersive world. The Grinch’s lair is equally impressive, with its dark, cluttered charm providing the perfect contrast to Whoville’s cheerfulness. The humor in this film is perfect for all ages. Kids will love the slapstick comedy, while adults will appreciate the clever, sometimes biting commentary on commercialism and the holiday season. At its core, the film stays true to the message of the original story: that Christmas isn’t about presents but about love, community, and kindness. The supporting cast, including Taylor Momsen as Cindy Lou Who, adds warmth and sincerity to the story. Cindy Lou’s innocence and determination to understand the Grinch’s pain provide the emotional anchor for the film. The score, composed by James Horner, enhances the whimsical and heartfelt moments perfectly. And, of course, the updated rendition of “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” is a standout. How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a holiday classic that’s both entertaining and meaningful. Jim Carrey’s unforgettable performance, paired with the stunning visuals and heartfelt message, makes it a must-watch every Christmas season. It’s a film that captures the magic of the holidays while reminding us of what truly matters. Highly recommend for family movie nights or anyone looking to get into the festive spirit! It is by far our most watched Christmas movie in our house!

Don't bother with the 4k version
The 4k version is missing several scenes and the audio is cut in random places (Max is dancing in silence instead of the Christmas for dogs song), and there's no special features on that disc. It's disappointing because the 4k looks fantastic, better original bluray. That being said if you just watch the og bluray it still looks good, and it has every scene and no weird edits. I wouldn't reccomend getting the 2 disc version, the original bluray is overall a better watch.
