I read On The Bright Side and it was so relatable to when I was raising my daughter who is 55yr old now and raising her own family.

I laughed and cried and laughed some more. She got me in the feels so many times! 😍😍😍 I wish she could be my BFF!!!

I’m sorry I can’t give this book a better review but it’s not what I expected. There were some really good nuggets in the intro, but as I read on there wasn’t a lot of faith integration into each section, and the purpose of each section started to get lost on me. I was expecting the end of each chapter to bring it full circle, tie the story to God or integrate more Biblical references but most chapters just ended, and I guess the point of the lists at the end of some of the chapters didn’t make a lot of sense either. I hate not finishing books but I got to page 130, and I’m not sure I can finish it.

I'm not sure what is the purpose of this book for entertainment? or spiritual nourishment (defininetly lacking)? because the pages are filled with rambling nonsense. this book is more about her, less of God. I LEARNED NOTHING from this book! what a waste of money...

Melanie doesn’t ever claim to transform your life or help you discover its meaning. This is a slice of life book with nuggets of faith, humor & truth. Delightful to listen to - I love her voice & drawl.My only issue is that this looks to be a new book (which I was excited about) but it’s a republication with a new title.
