toasted ones are "horrible and such small portions"
I love Bergen marzipan fruits and grew up on them. I was excited to try the "toasted" ones and expected they would be just as good but even better with an added toasty flavor. Nein. Nyet. Non. They were an odd gooey consistency and for some reason about 3x too sweet. Also the "toasted" ones are also smaller. Which reminds me of the Woody Allen joke: "There's an old joke - um... two elderly women are at a mountain resort, and one of 'em says, "Boy, the food at this place is really terrible." The other one says, "Yeah, I know; and such small portions."

Fresh, delicious, super pretty.
These arrived on time. They were a gift for my German mother. She was so thrilled. The packaging was beautiful and the marzipan was probably the best I ever had. They were soft, and a nice strong flavor. The fruit artistry looked beautiful on each candy. I'd order again and again and probably will.
