I started looking for a product I could use that had sunscreen mixed in with a daily moisturizer without compromising quality and also not having all those really bad chemicals that can cause more harm than good. (Avobenzone) I have a holistic background and knew there are several natural products that can be used as a sunscreen. When I came across raspberry seed oil being a natural sunscreen and being able to block UVA and UVB rays, I had to try it. Looked at several products and came across this one. I like the small business feel. I like they make their products in small batches. I like that they put a lot number and expiration information on the bottle. I have been using this oil on my face in the mornings underneath a daily moisturizer and I absolutely love it. I have drier skin so the extra oil feel doesn’t bother me. But this oil does absorb well into the skin and I have no problems wearing it under my make up. Like I stated it is an oil so it will have that glistening shine to it while on your face until it is fully absorbed. The smell is not bad at all. It has a faint raspberry earthy smell but nothing that is over powering or would make you gag. Also for the sunscreen part, I am outside a lot in the southern sun and I have yet to be burned on my face while outside. It has done great at keeping me from being burned on hot sunny days. Also the oil does not run into your eyes either. Lastly it is a great price. You can’t beat the cost for a small business product. Overall love this product and everything about it. Definitely a great skin care product to add to your routine.

I think its the best oil for your skin! The texture is great and it is moisturizing but doesn't leave your skin oily. My skin loves this oil and I like the natural scent of the red raspberry seed. I will repurchase in a bigger bottle.

This worked much better on my face than I expected. It is noncomedogenic; is slightly golden in color; has a pleasant, slight smell; & has improved the look of my skin so much that my face looks better now without foundation than it looked before I had this & had on foundation. My face looks very slightly darker, I see less imperfections (color variations) & the pores are less visible. All sources I could find said it is a really good sunscreen, but they wouldn't recommend it instead of a regular sunscreen. I wondered if there was a concern of it not working as well if another moisturizer or product was applied on top of it. I used it on my face, & got sunburned only on my shoulders & décolletage. I now use it on my face every day & add it to the other 2 places as well as my hands if they will be exposed to significant sun. It protected me completely from getting burned whether it was under just a moisturizer (argan oil) or both moisturizer & foundation (sunscreen free). I first tried this because I was concerned that the flakiness that has developed on my face is some form of psoriasis, & red raspberry seed oil is recommended for psoriasis. It dramatically reduced the flakiness to almost none when I first started using it, but hasn't consistently prevented it. The problem began in the 2nd half of a 2-week stay at the beach, so I suspected it was a reaction to daily use of sunscreen. I am a premenopausal 55 year old woman whose pores clog very easily. I am still plagued with this flaking facial skin (no where else), which looks awful under foundation, so if anyone has a suggestion about what is causing the flaking or what will stop it, I'd love to read it.

Excellent quality oil! Love the packaging and supporting a small business. I have combo/oily acne prone skin and am transitioning to more natural cosmetics when I can. I used natural physical sunscreens on my face for years but living in Houston humidity made my face a grease ball, and they exacerbated my adult acne. Then I switched to clear sunscreen. I use to buy all of my fancy sunscreen at Sephora. But I've given up paying $40+ for limited protection and lots of chemicals your skin doesn't need. This has an spf of at least 25 and I'm good with that on my face for daily wear to and from work. Of course, if I am going to be in the sun for hours, doing yard work or traveling, I will apply something more heavy duty for protection. However, for daily use on my face I absolutely love this oil. I use about 5 drops after toner, before moisturizer. It is definitely a dry oil and is not greasy at all once it absorbs. It feels luxurious, no scent, and light. It has antibacterial qualities and is very nourishing. I don't get dry spots on my face any more, and this soothes irritation and redness when I have a breakout. Very pleased!

I've used this oil as my moisturizer for only 2 1/2 weeks or so, but I really like it so far...almost love it. Nearly everything makes me breakout and I've been struggling with acne (cystic, congested/enlarged pores, greasy yet dehydrated skin, etc.) for 28 years. This oil makes my skin feel so comfortable...after gently washing with only water and maybe a wash cloth, spritz some rose water, then this oil...SIGH~ Really, no pulling or tightness, no burning or sensitivity, no shellacked high shine, just comfort. I've tried countless amounts of products and treatments over the years, and this oil is really really great. The smell isn't great, a tiny hint of kinda acetone-like smell, but its very subtle and not noticeable after a minute or two. For me, who is quite sensitive to scents, its totally a do-able trade off for the benefit. Since I started using this oil, I feel like its helping to make old clogs of sebum and junk surface (wishful thinking?). My self care wash routine has evolved to only shampoo every other day, wash cloth 2 to 3x's a week, spray pure rose water, and this oil. From years of Retin-A, Accutane, Benzoyl peroxide, anti-biotics, Spironolactone, Clarisonic, olive oil, jojoba oil, grape seed oil, professional facials, medical extractions, laser, light therapy, etc, etc, etc. I've pared down to this simple routine and its been the most comfortable I've been in my skin for a long time. Does my complexion look better? No, not dramatically, but I sure feel TONS BETTER. Only gripe is that the price has creeped up $3 since I made my purchase. Is it the raspberry harvest or the market or something effecting the cost to go up $3 in 2 1/2 wks? I hope its not just because of the increased popularity of this oil. I'll update this review once I've used this oil for longer.

Best sunscreen for those who shy away from harmful chemicals. Love it!

Around 2003 and concerned about the toxicity of applying an aluminum based deodorant underarms, I switched to a non-aluminum deodorant and used that same brand for about 15 years when all of a sudden that deodorant started causing dryness and itching that was most uncomfortable. I suspect the manufacturer had somehow changed the formulation; maybe one of the ingredients in it had become GMO. I had been using Berry Beautiful Red Raspberry seed oil on my face and hands and knew it was soothing and absorbed easily, so I grabbed it to quell the itching and treat my irritated underarms. When I tried the deodorant again, the itching started up again, so I just used the red raspberry seed oil, and soon I noticed that my underarms were fine using no product other than the Red Raspberry seed oil. Just the Red Raspberry seed oil was enough to keep my body odors at a socially acceptable level. Thinking maybe something was weird with me, I filled a little roller bottle with the Red Raspberry seed oil and gave it to a good friend, sharing what my experience had been and asking her to give it a try and let me know her experience. When I saw her again after almost two weeks, she said that she had been using it daily and loved it. She said it worked for her as a deodorant, and added that sometimes she did need to apply it a second time during the day. I find the combination of showering and using the oil lasts through the day, but that both together work better as compared to just using the oil on the second day without showering first. I want to comment also that I purchased the organic version of this oil and could not tell the difference. Maybe there is a difference, but just not one that is noticeable to me. Since this product has a lower price, I am satisfied using it. I also have purchased the Berry Beautiful Cranberry Seed oil, and find it works pretty much the same on my skin as this oil does. I think the red raspberry seed oil has a slightly nicer scent. Since the oil absorbs so easily into the skin, there has been no problem with clothing becoming stained. I certainly never expected this outcome but am definitely pleased. Lastly, I find that using a roller bottle is the perfect way to apply this oil, as it goes on easily without ever being an excessive amount; no guessing, no spilling, and once I use fingers to smooth it in, I'm good to go. A little goes a very long way.

I’ve used this for several months now and love it. My skin looks beautiful! I wash my face first with my face wash and apply this afterwards. I still need to use a face scrub once a week or so. I use only those 3 products, face wash, this oil and a face scrub. All the products are natural and the best skin care routine I’ve ever found. I enjoy the scent of this oil and in my opinion it smells identical to real fresh raspberries. It makes my skin feel so soft, gives it a natural glow and is very lightweight so it feels great. I use it on my face, neck and chest. I rave about this to friends and family! I also get compliments on my skin now, I actually had a family member ask to touch my face the other day and she cupped my face with both hands and told me how beautiful my skin was. I plan to always use this product!
