MY OT - TRUNK BUDDY!
I cannot say enough good things about my "OT" - AKA my 'trunk buddy'! I call it my "OT" - Optimus Prime ~ after the Transformer! LOL! It is a mighty cart when needed then folds up easily into a little rectangle that stows skinny-flat and out of the way in my trunk, barely takes any room at all. This goes everywhere with me! It is the easiest little cart to use and it holds a whole lot more than it looks like it does! I can get almost a whole weeks' worth of groceries in that cart! It is lightweight but sturdy and well-made. I am a "seasoned" citizen with arthritis, so can't carry a lot of weight or packages on my own - but this is a great little buddy to take along anywhere! Easy to roll up curbs and the handle is nicely sized and shaped so it fits your hand well and doesn't cut into your fingers and palm when you have something heavy to roll around! I have been using this 3-5 days a week for several months now and I would never do without again! I have used it to carry laundry, books to the library, groceries, grandkids toys, on a trip to carry in those extras you don't want to put in your suitcase but need to roll into your hotel room like curling irons, shoes, pool toys, etc. It has gone to the pet store to roll out bags of kitty litter and to the post office to mail packages. Now, I also have one of those wire folding shopping carts but it is too cumbersome and hard to manage and this little buddy, even though is smaller - holds about the same amount! Love, Love Love it! I recommend this as a great gift to your senior friends or relatives or anyone who has lots to cart around like teachers or students or just to have around the house! It is a great thing to have for yourself and a great gift that no one thinks of but everyone will love getting!

Lasted 7 years!
Until it recently broke and I decided to re-order another one, I was thinking that this cart provided 5 good years of service. Turns out, I actually purchased this cart back in 2013! I primarily use this cart for grocery shopping, which is extremely helpful as I live in a high-rise building, and need to minimize the number of elevator trips I need to make when bringing groceries up from my car to my apartment. This is great for carrying around heavy items such as 2 Liter soda bottles, and various other heavy items. When I originally purchased this cart, it was replacing one of the smaller cube shaped carts, which limited my carrying capabilities. Once I realized how much more I could fit in this larger cart, it greatly helped to minimize the number of trips I had to make to the market, as well as the aformentioned trips on the elevator. Admittedly the cart has taken a beating over the years, with various bits of plastic cracking off, as well as the wheels becoming a bit wobbly over time. The handle retraction button also failed, but that's fine, since it occurred several years into using the cart, and you can raise and lower the handle by reaching into the spring loaded pins to get the handle to retract (not as convenient, but it's not hard to do). Also, the bottom support started to sag, as is to be expected as heavy items will cause this to happen. If many of those issues occurred early on, I would've given this cart a negative review, but they occurred over time, and I expected this to happen (not everything lasts forever). Ultimately if you take care of the cart, and handle it properly, it should last a long time (7 years!). Considering I paid around $30 back in 2013, I'd say I got my money's worth over and over. Even if the cart failed after 3 years, it's still quite a bargain for the immense amount of times i've relied on it for my shopping needs.

Handy Cart That Gets the Job Done
I use the Olympia cart primarily to schlep groceries and supplies around NYC, and I'm currently on my second one. Before I get too far into my review, it should be known that I regularly exceed the designed 55-pound weight limit, and I'm probably rougher than most on this thing. HOW IT WORKS: As the description states, this cart folds and clips shut to a total thickness of about 3 inches. Once unclipped and expanded, you (i) fold down the bottom, (ii) pop 2 black reinforcement pieces out of the bottom of the cart, and (iii) snap those onto the left and right sides of the top of the cart for additional support. I can quickly "transform" the cart at the grocery store in about 15 seconds after my items are on the conveyor. MY EXPERIENCE: I bought my first cart in the fall of 2012, and I was living in a neighborhood at the time with very uneven sidewalks and poor upkeep during snowy conditions (see more on snow below). I regularly pack every inch of the cart completely to the brim (for a total weight of approximately 80 lbs.). I've also lugged it up and down more subway stairs than I care to remember. This particular cart has held up remarkably well through my "torture testing." By the end of the first cart's lifespan in the fall of 2013, I had broken three of the four handled sides on the top of the cart, the plastic mesh was cracked all the way down the front, and I had lost one of the two plastic reinforcement pieces. The final straw was when one of the front wheels came loose and went flying down the sidewalk. RIP, first cart. I haven't treated my second cart any more gingerly (although I live in a neighborhood with more forgiving sidewalks now). So far, I've cracked one handle, but otherwise it's held up well for about a year. PROS: -Lightweight (9 or so lbs.) -Ergonomic (molded handles allow the cart to be carried up stairs fairly easily, and it fits nicely under the arm when folded) -Relatively durable (I put these things through Hell, and they have performed nicely) -Unique (I get tons of comments from people on the street about how much they like it) CONS: -If you're rough on your cart and overload it like me, the plastic near the handles is apt to break (again, more of a user flaw) -Plastic reinforcement pieces can be misplaced -Doesn't roll very smoothly on surfaces that aren't completely flat SPECIAL NOTE ON SNOW: One additional point worth mentioning specifically: this cart is NOT particularly snow-friendly. (i) The uneven, snowy surface makes the pulling experience pretty unpleasant; (ii) the cart is low to the ground, and so the snow tends to pile up in front of the cart like a snow plow; and (iii) perhaps most importantly, because the cart's sides are plastic formed in a mesh pattern, items in the bottom-front of the cart tend to get a little soggy if you have a lengthy commute. Long story short, it can be unpleasant using this cart in the snow. Overall, I recommend the cart and will continue to use mine. If Olympia designed a new, similarly lightweight version that was sturdier and rated for heavier payloads (perhaps made of aluminum instead of plastic), I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

Outstanding design for storing and shopping
This cart has literally changed my life. I live in a Manhattan apartment that has limited closet space and no room to store a regular folding shopping cart. I have been searching for a cart that would fold flat to no avail until I saw a neighbor in the street with this cart - she raved about it. I am absolutely thrilled with this item and cannot understand why its availability is not more widely publicized. The cart folds flat very easily, and takes an incredibly small space. It also unfolds very easily. It is lightweight - I especially like the luggage type telescoping handle. The wheels work very well, smooth and easy to maneuver over rough potholes, curbs and steps. It is quite roomy and very sturdy. I think all Manhattan apartments should come equipped with these carts! The only thing I don't like is the name - there is no "mesh" in this cart - I think of mesh as being like a netting. I also think a photo of the cart in it's collapsed state would let buyers know how really compact it is. I have already saved more money in delivery fees than the cost of the cart. It has also allowed me to visit several stores in one trip because I don't have the problems of carrying heavy packages or not being able to carry more in my two hands, and as mentioned before, do not need to pay for deliveries. I have recommended this cart to friends and neighbors, and think it would be good to keep a spare in the trunk of cars. In short, I love it and if I ever find a drawback, I'll let you know.

Great!
i got this in june, and i use it for lugging groceries. we shop at aldi, which people may know... anyway. all our groceries usually fit in this cart. it can fit two gallons of milk and a carton of orange juice in the bottom (this is how we usually stack so nothing gets squished), then we have 2 canvas bags that can be set right next to each other on top of that (think the ones they sell at Target, Pick'nSave, JewelOsco for 99cents or about). then another one or two lighter bags on top of those. and if we have one left over we just hang it on the handle, pop a wheelie, and roll. the one i bought was made very well, wheels intact and all parts accountable (there's no assembly, so there aren't supposed to be parts but i have read some reviews where the wheel comes off? mine is fine) undo the side latches, pull the cart into shape DON'T put your hands or fingers on the sides as you pull! i caught the skin on my thumb doing this and it HURT! then push the bottom down from the inside. there are little black braces inside the floor of the cart, pull those out and snap them over the bendy sides of the cart to keep its shape. the handle raises and lowers into the body of the cart, it has a button that you have to press whenever you'd like to move the handle either direction. my button didn't "break" but a piece of plastic snapped off near it so now it's harder to push. it was completely my fault though and not a product flaw. the first time we went out with the cart we put it in the trunk and went shopping. then we threw our groceries ON TOP :( and in the process of digging it out from underneath, it snapped off a little chunk.oops. this is really awesome, i live in an apartment complex and it really helps out!

Minus 5 stars. This is my 2nd carriage . First was fantastic. Avoid this one at any cost!
Our first carriage like this was great for $10 on sale at Walmart. It was sturdy, unbelievably great & lasted over 3-4 years. Regardless of what we used it for, it persevered beautifully. This current one is priced at about 6-8 times more and is made of totally different reconstituted materials. Not constructed the same at all. Wheels wobble, hard to control. I'm so sngry they took a great product and turned it into budget junk that now is being taken off the market. There is an excellent reason for thus. It is no where near the same. After trying a couple times with light laundry inside, wheels wobbled, hard to pull or push. I would suggest selling it at a dollar store but even at $1.00, it would be overpriced. Must be made by different mfgr but labeling is same. I'm stuck with one that is useless. The plastic clip that holds it together arrived broken off. Beware. I wish l could find a replacement! I want one like my first one. What happened to that original great product? Stay away as far as you can. You will regret it if you purchse it. I do not recommend.

Handy Little Cart - a Solid 3 1/2 Stars.
After reading the reviews that said the wheels come off, I was nervous of ordering this cart. When it arrived, it was easy to imagine the wheels coming off as they didn't feel that sturdy, but over the last few months, I've dragged it down and across the street and up and down the driveway many times and the wheels just kept on going. The floor inside the cart has now detached after 9 months, and while the cart is still usable, I find getting the floor of the cart in place is difficult after unfolding it. But once it's in place, the cart just keeps rolling along. The cart is smaller than other grocery carts I've owned, but I find that's a plus since we have a narrow door and tight stairs. It also means it's light and easy to handle. I can fit 2 1-gallon water bottles on their sides with an extra wide Trader Joe's bag standing on its side plus I put another bag of groceries on top, putting its handles around the cart handle for stability. The bottom line - I wish the floor of the cart hadn't detached, and we're going to try and fix it, but the cart is still doing its job. In fact, I used it this evening to get everything in the house from my car.

Will buy again
I purchased in 2017. It was a life saver going up & down stairs (2 flights) after having major stomach surgery. I nvr had anything break but I was sure to take care because I needed it so badly... it is plastic after all. After months of twice weekly laundry trips in my apt complex it nvr broke. Lasted several yrs & multiple housing relocations. I ended up giving it away after moving out of state. Folds up nicely too.

Ample room, collapsible
I use this to transport all my recyclables to our townhouse outdoor disposal area- so much better than having bits and pieces fly away on me on my way. The cart is easy to manoeuvre and I love the way it hardly takes up any room at all when stored.

Worth it!
Got it for mom...everything about it is great...note that telescopic handle doesn't lock at any height as advertised but not an issue. Will have to wait and see if plastic "luggage-like" wheels outlast traditional rubber cart wheels...

Buen producto.
