So I’ve been struggling with trying to use traditional glue on lashes irritating my eyes, causing my eyes to water etc. and I didn’t want to pay to have someone else do extensions for a crazy price only to need it again super soon so I decided to try it out myself at home to see how it went since I’d seen some videos of people doing it themselves during the pandemic. Just finished them and while it did take me about an hour and a half, I love the result! I wanted natural but enough to accentuate my eye makeup looks for Day to Day. I would say if you have tons of patience, a steady hand, and time to do it then this is a good thing to try but if you aren’t then understand that there is a definite reason professionals charge what they do. The pros for me are that they are super light weight so I barely feel them on at all. They are soft and feel durable so far so I recommend if you’re looking to try them out yourself.

I do my own lash extensions on myself. I like to switch up the style, color, curl, and lash map every once in a while. I wouldn’t call myself a professional, and I found it quite easy to use! The quality of the lashes feel good. For some reason, this lashes come off VERY easily in this tray, so be careful. I accidentally brushed against a row with my tweezers and a bunch flew off the strip. Zero stickiness. The ends/roots are also comfortable and thin. 5/5! For this look, I used Vavalash’s 0.07 D curl black to make fans of 2-4, mixed with some 0.15 D curl brown.

If one of these lashes falls into your eye, brace yourself. I’ve had this happen, and it’s not just uncomfortable—it’s borderline unbearable. The sensation is sharp, irritating, and intense enough to make you instinctively want to claw it out. Truly excruciating. Beyond the risk factor, the lashes also feel heavy on the eyelid, as if something is constantly pressing down along the lash line. It’s a persistent sensation that may not suit those sensitive to weight or pressure around the eyes. On the plus side, the sleeve offers a variety of lengths, allowing for customization depending on your desired look or technique. ---
