Glassy smooth. I love them.
I love them. Be advised: they are a bit darker and quieter, but they are blissfully smooth. I’m never going back to regular round wounds on my nylon stringers. If only they offered them in several different tensions. These are what I would call ‘low tension’ , so they are more about playability than pulling out the maximum tone or volume, but man! They are smooth!

Be careful, may not fit your guitar
I use their flat wound George Benson strings on my jazz guitar and love them. I bought a set of these CF 127s for my Cordoba Fusion 14 hoping for the same long life and great sound. However, there is no way the low E string will fit in the hole in the bridge of my guitar. With all the extra winding I couldn't get either end to fit in the bridge. Will keep them in case I get a guitar where they might fit.

Not impressed!
I'm not very impressed with this set of strings. Does not project very well. Basses are on the dull side. Trebles are just passable. The only positive that I've found is that there is less hissing on the basses which might be good for recording. However, cheaper polished strings by D'addario, saverez and La bella project and sound much better than these while keeping hissing to a minimum during recordings.

Beats the cheapies
Ordered for a friend overseas who could only buy local 'junk' that passes as adequate for guitars. Can't quite figure out why some countries support those companies that are only 'ripping' people off in the name of fair trade. You get what you pay for!

Perfect!!!
I purchased these strings for my Yamaha SLG200n hoping they would solve a few issues I was having, and they have FAR exceeded my expectations!!The basses sound rich and deep. A strong fundamental with beautiful, subtle overtones. The trebles sound sweet and clear with a great balance between all 6 strings. The difference in tone and feel between the wound and plain nylon strings is almost unnoticeable now! They also almost completely eliminated the annoying "buzzy" quality regular roundwounds have with piezo pickups, as well as the "boomy" sound I was getting on the low E and A strings before. Before the tone of the Yamaha was a bit on the sterile/dead side of things. Now she sings with a lively richness I never thought I'd get! Really incredible. Now, the best part of these strings: THE FEEL!!! If there's one thing Thomastik does well, its flatwounds. The basses are buttery smooth under the fingers and and allow me to get a nice, low action. A real pleasure to play! (they also have the added bonus of completely eliminating the borderline obnoxious string noise I was getting with regular roundwounds.)I'd imagine results will be similar on any electric/electro-acoustic, piezo driven, nylon strung guitar. Really a perfect match for these kinds of guitars. As for traditional acoustic instruments, I can see these being lovely on the right guitar (especially so for recording purposes). I plan to try them on my acoustic next as it's naturally very bright and I think would really balance out well with these.Overall These were well worth the money, and I'd imagine if they're anything like their steel string counterparts, they'll last significantly longer than roundwounds as well!

Interesting strings
I would say that most of the reviews that mentioned that you would lose volume are spot on. If you're expecting a typical nylon string sound, this might not be for you. The feel of these strings are great. Bit on the lower tension side but makes playing for hours quite comfortable, but I don't think it would suit a classical music player. For me it suits more of a bossa nova / pop strumming fingerstyle guitar playing as the dynamics in terms of volume and tone are not necessarily what you get from these strings. What you do get is great intonation (once they settle) and a nice playability throughout the neck. I did have to cut some ends in order to fit them through the slots in the bridge other than that all good. Not sure I would buy them again but they are quality strings that's for sure.

One of my favourite set of nylon strings
I've tried a lot of different sets of nylon guitar strings & these are another great set from the Thomastik-Infeld range. These are the CR127 setE 1st Plain Nylon .027B 2nd Plain Nylon .031G 3rd Plain Nylon .039D 4th Chrome Steel Flat Wound .030A 5th Chrome Steel Flat Wound .035E 6th Chrome Steel Flat Wound .045The CR 128 set is the same but with a G 3rd Chrome Steel Flat Wound .027.The main difference to these & other high quality nylon strings is that the basses are flat wound & very smooth which eliminates the string squeak many nylon guitar players suffer from. Other string manufacturers try to get around this problem by polishing the wound rounds or coating them with a special material but as far as I'm aware these are the only ones that use a flat wound technique for nylon guitar strings. The sound is smooth & warm if not acoustically as loud as say strings with carbon trebles. Not a overly bright tone but very pleasing to these ears. The tension is normal. The durability of these strings are the best I've tried, the tone remains the same for ever & the the windings of the 4th never gets damaged as often quickly happens on round wound strings. In fact I end up only changing these strings when I'm after a different sound rather than because they're worn out.Guitar players are very fussy about the strings they use & opinions vary greatly as it's so subjective but I would recommend them on price, quality, sound, playability & particularly durability.Other comparable strings would be the La Bella 413P & 500P sets, the Savarez 520RH & the D'Addario EXP45 & Pro-Arte Lightly Polished.
