written by my 11 yr old daughter: This book is perfect for helping kids grow in their faith and understanding of God's Word. By having exciting mysteries in each chapter, and not giving the solution, this book gives the reader an opportunity to see how much of the Bible is filled with answers for life's many problems. To find the answer, the reader must find the answer in their Bible, thus making it a fun and educational way to teach kids to appreciate God's Word more than ever.

Wonderful book! Gets us digging in the Bible together.

My daughters enjoyed the first book so much, they put the the complete set on their Christmas wish list! It is easy for them to read and look up the scriptures. Another beautiful way to get the word into them.

Just some thoughts in response to the Mother's concern about Chapter 2 called The Forehead Game. There is a very good article regarding the issue of psychics which you can read at the Got Questions Website called: "What is the Christian view of psychics/fortune tellers?" The Bible clearly forbids and condemns such practices as the information a psychic receives is believed to come from Satan and demons. Leviticus 20:27 states that woman or man must be put to death by stoning; the article also refers to Deuteronomy 18:10-13. The occult, Satan, demons are not funny or something to joke about. "The Lord God hates it when anyone does these things."Overall, I think, I enjoyed reading about Concord Cunningham. Chapter 2 called The Forehead Game ends with Concordance proving the "psychic" a fraud with Proverbs 27:19. In addition to the unmasking, to make this lemon into lemonade, The Forehead Game brings to our attention demonic practices that seem to be acceptable and harmless in this society and culture; and provides an good opportunity to discuss how ungodly and dangerous it is to engage in occult activities. Our children might sense that the occult feels creepy. But, how can they know if we -- caring and responsible and godly adults -- don't tell them? In this wicked world, we can help to arm our children with The Word of God: "It is written."

My kids absolutely love this book!!!!! It is filled with short mysteries that they have to help solve by looking up passages in the Bible, which is the clue to solve the mystery. My children are 7 and 10 and beg to read "just one more". So far there has only been 1 story where they just didn't get it, but with a little super sleuthing they were able to figure it out. We homeschool so this book is a great way to get in our reading and Bible requirements at the same time. As a mom I am SUPER happy with this purchase. We will absolutely be ordering the rest of the books in the series!!!!!!!

Well written and illustrated. Comprehensive. Quality literature. A classic book to save and read again and again. Excellent for teaching.

Fun to read together!

I read about this book in a homeschooling magazine and decided to buy it because we needed more stories to read aloud that had definite morals to them. We have read the first chapter and my son, age 8, is hooked already. He enjoyed reading Encyclopedia Brown last fall and this book is similar in format in that you have a complete mystery and resolution in each chapter. However each mystery comes with a Bible verse to help you solve it. My son sat with his Bible open on his lap while I read the story and he looked up the verse and then tried to figure out the solution. I'm thankful for any book that can get my kids interested in reading AND give them oppotunity to become more familiar with their Bibles!

I found this book in a homeschooling site and decided to purchase it. My son loved the story and the mystery and was eagerly looking up his scriptures in minutes. Excellent! I then went on to buy more titles!
