The Solenoid Valve is the perfect device for controlling liquid flow. It can be controlled just like any of our normal Solenoids - when no voltage is present the solenoid is not active and liquid will not flow, when a voltage is present the valve will activate/open, and liquid will flow freely. The Solenoid Valve is a great companion to the DC Liquid Pump, giving you the ability to precicely control liquid flow. NOTE: This valve is deisgned to work with the DC liquid pump when the pump is running at 6V. When the pump is running at 12V, the liquid flow is to strong for the valve to stop. We recommend that you use a RobotGeek Relay if you want to control the Solenoid Valve from a 5v device like an Arduino.
