CasioWith the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward. High quality sports looks, back by a rich feature set, define the SGW450 Twin Sensor from Casio. The watch takes and displays barometric pressure readings, which are then converted into Altitude measurements based on International Standard Atmospheric Values. A built-in thermo sensor gives reliable temperature readings. Combing these sensors with a rugged case design, ana-digi display and a host of additional features makes this watch tough to beat.

Definitely a WIN
I needed a watch with timer and stopwatch features and a good backlight. I don't like digital-only so I looked through just about all of the ana-digis on Amazon. Several Casios appealed to me, such as this one and many of the G-Shocks; but the G-shocks do NOT have the same backlight. This is an illuminator (similar to the Timex Indiglo) and it definitely beats the LED on the G-Shocks (which are much higher-priced). I've had it a few months and I would DEFINITELY buy it again. At first it seemed big, but I think that's just because I wasn't in the habit of wearing a watch at all. Now I feel like the size is just about perfect.I honestly don't use the altimeter, barometer, or thermometer; I don't really need them so I never even set them up. Initials set-up and time-keeping adjustments and stuff were not the easiest I've ever done, but they also weren't as bad as many of the reviews indicate. Maybe 10 minutes for me to understand the manual and the buttons and processes it's describing. Don't be intimidated 😊. Water-resistance seems passable to me. Haven't swam with it, but I have had it submerged in a bath a few times and have seen no ill-effects.I'm not a big "watch guy" (I only have this and one other and I don't usually notice or care about peoples' watches), but I have gotten several compliments on this thing from people who do notice these things. I did get one pretty significant scratch on the face of this watch. I think it's just plastic, but then again, it was a pretty good bang that probably would have scratched any watch (and maybe worse on a glass face!). I was able to buff out the bulk of the scratch with a buffer tip on a Dremel. If I broke it doing something stupid (that is, not broke from a manufacturer's defect obviously) I would buy a new one tomorrow!

Neat watch.
My honest rating is a 4.5.The watch functions as intended. The altimeter and barometer work well enough. I mainly bought this for looks and I still enjoy wearing it. My only gripe is that it's hard to see the digital face indoors. Viewing it in sunlight is great. However, I have other dark-face watches that are easy to see indoors as well as outdoors. Otherwise, I still like it.

Accurate, legible and easy to use
This watch is my third iteration of similar Casio watches over the past 34 years. It adds a few new features over the previous one, which I had used for over 20 years: 5 alarms (instead of a single one), a DST On/Off option which will make switching to and from Daylight Saving Time easy (rather than having to manually move the pointer 23 hours), a user-friendly automatic system for setting the analog time, and a database of world time zones, which will also make setting the local time easy when travelling through time zones. Oh, and there's also an option to display UTC.Illumination of the dial is still not as bright as I would like, but it does the job, and I can live with it.Legibility of the analog time is excellent during the day, but I can't see the pointers at night, even with the illumination. The digital displays are OK, both in daylight and good when illuminated in the dark. I miss the contrast adjustment of my previous model, though, but since the technology is different, contrast adjustment may not be technically possible.I have never really used it for temperature or atmospheric measurements, although they can occasionally be useful. However, the altimeter feature is important to me, and works fine and has proven extremely accurate in my two previous similar models.I suppose that the same model with black-on-white digital displays is more legible, but the price premium is too much. All in all, I'm ready to wear this watch every day for the next 20 years.

A lot of functions in a neat package, and easy to adjust
I've always preferred analog watches, but having some digital functions is also useful. This watch has analog hands for a quick glance time check, but also has stopwatch, countdown timer (very useful), and five settable audio alarms. In addition it has a barometer, thermometer, and altimeter. To be honest these last three are really just for fun for me, but if I did more hiking/climbing (which might happen, I live in Oregon) then I could see them being very useful. The dual timezone feature would be useful if I flew more. If this had a vibrate alarm feature it would have saved me buying a watch just for that.Overall this is more watch than I really need, but having set a camelcamelcamel price alert I grabbed it when the price dropped below $45.

Casio
I love Casio watch and i've been wearing them for over 25 years, this one is for my son , it has nice features but i think it's a little overpriced, can't compare it with my G-shock, well the name says it all but it was a few dollars less than this one, hard to see the digits on a regular room unless you have light directed to the watch, besides that is a good modern looking watch i hope my son likes it !!! Oh let me clear it , this is nothing against the seller.

Great watch!
The media could not be loaded. I have wanted to own a Barometer watch since I was 8 years old, I'm now 31 and I finally treated myself to this one after all these years and I am extremely pleased.A very good looking watch with great, easy to use features. As long as you read your instruction manual first and set everything up properly you should have no issues using this watch, it's explained in a very user friendly way and easy to understand once you're used to it.If you're new to reading a barometer like this, it can help to learn by paying attention to the weather outside in real life and then look at how your watch reacts to different conditions, and then learn to interpret that data afterwards - rather than trying to immediately predict weather based on the readings from the watch from the beginning. You need to get a good feel for it. But once used to it, it does help to keep an eye on atmospheric pressure differences, very helpful as I find they do tend to affect energy levels and joint pain! I doubt I would've needed to use it to predict joint pain as an 8 year old but alas, aging has made this a very helpful little tool for predicting which days I am likely to ache more 😅I was lucky (8 year old storm chaser me at least was) to experience an absolutely massive thunderstorm within a week of receiving this watch and it was quite accurate in showing the vast pressure fluctuations before & after the event. The digital display can be a little difficult to read in certain light conditions, but that is really the only negative I have found personally with this watch. It could definitely benefit from a brighter backlight. Thankfully I am usually only looking to check the time when in low light conditions and the analog hands are helpful for solving the issue of reading the time in the dark due to being white (but would be better if they also glowed more, the tips glow sometimes but not all the time even after being exposed to light for a while??) Future models would be instantly & easily improved by installation of brighter backlight and more functional glow-in-the-dark analog features. See attached video for example of the display & how it looks with the backlight. I do think that the dark display otherwise makes for a handsome look, just a shame it is a little impractical. But I can sacrifice a little practicality for looks ;)Watch is typical of Casio's usual standards. A decent weight without feeling heavy on the wrist. Combination of metal, plastic & rubber feels decently durable. A fabric band would have been preferable for comfort I think, but the rubbery one is fine and doesn't get as smelly as a fabric one would when worn for ourdoor activities, so perhaps that's why they went for that material. I may replace the band eventually just because I prefer fabric, but that's entirely my own preference and something that will be inexpensive and easy to do should I decide to and doesn't impact my positive feelings towards this product. All in all, I would recommend this watch to others like me who have an amateurish interest in weather, but don't want to spend $300+ on an overly technical timepiece. This is a good classic Casio, looks great, feels comfortable, does exactly what it claims to do and is reasonably priced. A little bulky, as in, a lot bulkier than my old Casio F91w, but not quite as big & bulky as G Shock type sport watches. The sensor does jut out a little and may bother you if you often do tasks that require bending the wrist back frequently, otherwise I can't imagine this being much of an issue to the average wearer.Satisfied customer!

Great looks and features
Great looks and features, The altimeter based on barometer are never accurate and that's a fact so can't blame anyone for small discrepancies. For temperature measurements u hv to remove it from the wrist and keep it outside for some time
