A Great Product For The Price
Works great for displaying and saving (to the included 8GB SDHC memory card) four(4) channels of thermocouple temperature data. Then you need a USB SD-card reader (or some other mechanism) to get the data into your PC. No special software required. The resulting text files are easy to read, and include date, time, and 4 channels of temperature data. Having the 2x2 temperature display, instead of a 1x4 list, really helped in our application. As others have indicated, the readings tend to jump around a bit (perhaps up/down 3 degrees C) in the presence of electrical devices, a design defect which ought to be corrected. Others have complained about the instructions included, perhaps they have been upgraded, they weren't perfect but they were pretty good. We were up and running in short order, and this device paid for itself on the first day of usage. You may as well also purchase "9V 1.5A AC/DC Power Adapter for Arduino, Tbuymax UL Listed Center Positive 5.5mm x 2.1mm Power Supply..." to save on batteries and enable long-period usage. Overall a good product deserving of your consideration.

Works well for data logging
I'm using this to monitor the efficiency of my boiler system. The 4-channels are good. I tested in an Ice bath and boiling water, Using the offset feature, I was able to calibrate all the channels within a couple of tenths of a degree of each other well within the advertised specification. I also compared it to my fluke meter. The unit generates a CSV file when logging. I was able to take the generated CVS file and import to OpenOffice to plot the temperatures in and out of the boiler and each zone to calculate the thermal energy being used by each zone. I was using this to adjust the water flow speed to ensure that the water spent enough time in the pipe circulating in each zone to properly heat my floor.Pros:Uses standard k-type thermal couplers. The display is easy to read each channels tempUses a standard power supply 9V 1.5A Center Positive 5.5mm X 2.1mm connectorLogs to a CSV file, configurable sample rateCons:The display turns off when logging mode is operationalWhile you can figure out the manual, its hard to read poorly translated EnglishThe probes that come with the unit are very short (glad the K-type probes are cheap)All in All, I do recommend this unit.

Calendar resets sporadically when powered by batteries
Device works fine for recording temperatures but the calendar resets to 1/1/2014 or some incorrect date sporadically when powered by batteries. When AC adapter is used this has not happened so far. The time remains correct so downloaded data can be corrected in the spreadsheet. Batteries were replaced for overnight run but calendar still reset. Outside temperature was down to 18 F and battery voltages were down to about 1.28 volts at the end of the 18 hour logging period. Battery drain may be culprit so running an extension cord and using AC adapter may be necessary if practical (not practical for my situation). Where AC power not practical i may need to create battery pack with plug using D cells.

Quality Inexpensive Thermocouple Data Logger
I'm using to record temps in my burnout kiln to figure out what is going on in my flasks. I bought some fiberglass insulated thermocouples so I can track flasks as they go up to 1350F. It tracks great, it's accurate (I always have a control), and outputs an easy to use flat file.I would recommend this and I will actually probably buy another one. I went from 0 to 4 inputs and now I kinda want 8 :P

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT: DOES NOT WORK AS A RELIABLE DATA LOGGER
Briefly:I purchased this to log temperature data, every five minutes, just the temperatures. This is simple enough, I am not asking too much. But this device was not writing data to the SD Card as it was supposed to. So, I sent a message to the manufacturer, but they just basically told me to "read the manual". No problem, I read technical manuals, I write them, I design products that have manuals, I know the drill. As it turns out, I had already read and re-read in detail their manual before contacting them, and I did not need them to tell me how to set up their device. I had already done so. The problem was that they did not listen to the problem, so let me state it again clearly:THE DEVICE IS SET UP PROPERLY.THE SD Card has been properly formattedIT TAKES DATA BUT ONLY APPENDS THE DATA TO THE SD Card FOR A WHILE. This could be a few hours, or just a few minutes. THEN DATA LOGGING STOPS RANDOMLY.For example, here is a set of data that was supposed to last a full day:MN/AT date time int 1ch 2ch 3ch 4ch unitAT 2023-07-17 17:11:12 5m 41.6 43.1 30.5 CAT 2023-07-17 17:16:12 5m 41.6 43.0 31.4 CAT 2023-07-17 17:21:12 5m 41.6 42.9 31.4 CAT 2023-07-17 17:26:12 5m 41.6 42.9 31.9 CAT 2023-07-17 17:31:12 5m 40.9 42.2 31.3 CAT 2023-07-17 17:36:12 5m 40.2 41.2 31.3 CAT 2023-07-17 17:41:12 5m 40.1 41.2 31.3 CAT 2023-07-17 17:46:12 5m 39.1 40.1 30.6 CAT 2023-07-17 17:51:12 5m 37.7 38.6 29.3 CAT 2023-07-17 17:56:12 5m 36.9 37.9 29.3 CNOTICE that it is set up correctly and taking data every 5 minutes, but then stops logging after only 10 time points.Infuriatingly, if you repeat this, exactly, without changing any settings, it will log for example: 3 time points, then 2454 points when you restart it, then 12, then a few hundred... and on and on like that, just stopping randomly, with random sampling periods each time before it quits. So, the company can either send me another one THAT THEY HAVE TESTED AND THAT WORKS PROPERLY AS ADVERTISED, AT THEIR EXPENSE, or I will just take the loss and advise everyone:>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Good value
The unit is a good value, providing 4 inputs and data logging. The unit is simple, but the operation in not very intuitive. The unit has to be dismounted to gain access to the SD card.

Very functional and accurate
Works great. Temperatures seem to be accurate. Logging to SD card works very well. In made some nice charts in Excel with the data I captured. Operation is not intuitive but the included manual explains what you need to know.
