This book is equal parts hands-on learning & a thorough dinosaur era education. The amount of research the author did for this book alongside paleontologists is extensive, yet put forward in such an inviting way where the kids don't even realize they're learning. Those types of educational opportunities are the BEST. I love how this book is an invitation to create something side-by-side with your child, but also can inspire independent exploration. Matching modern plants to prehistoric species to build clever living environments was one of my favorite parts, but the book offers a beautiful buffet of varied interactive project ideas for kiddos & parents/caregivers alike. What a fantastic, educational, DIY book for all the dinosaur lovers out there!

Such a gorgeous, creative book for children! Easy to order any materials you need online so you can start building these terrariums, no matter where you live. Love the way it gets everyone together (and in our case outdoors, to spread out in the lovely sun!). The kids have fun digging in and getting purposefully messy with a valuable goal in mind. The book teaches informative lessons for children of all ages.

This book will add fun weekend activities for the kids as we await spring. The directions are easy to follow, the photos are helpful, and the finished product is a keepsake --- and will make you very proud of yourselves. I can’t say enough about this creative, stunning book! As an educator, it’s so helpful to have a scientifically accurate and entertaining book full of crafts at the ready for young children. The activities in Tiny Dino Worlds range from simple everyday crafts one could do with household staples, to elaborate dino worlds using a wide range of interesting plants. Highlights so far include the “Who Dung It,” Dragonfly in Amber, and Baked Tracks activities. I would highly recommend this book for parents, educators, plant enthusiasts, and any dino loving kid!

I bought this for my 5 year old grandson, who was very much at loose ends with no preschool or day care this summer. Not only are there a variety of activities (dioramas or terrariums to build), but also great factual information about dinosaurs and their world. I made a trip to a local store basic supplies, and the first activity kept him busy for over an hour.

This book is not only a great tool to connect and play in a meaningful and educational ways with our children, but it is also a piece of art, every page is food for the senses. The author did a beautiful job capturing images and giving instructions that are precise and helpful. The attention to detail was inspiring.
