M Kitchen World Grill Basting Brushes

Gets the job done and doesn't leave behind bristles

I purchased a set of these M Kitchen World Silicone Basting Brushes (one small, one large) and am in love with them! The small one is the perfect size for basting Whole Foods' narrow, but thick, salmon filets (they are shaped like extra large chicken fingers), and the larger brush is ideal for basting steaks, boneless, skinless chicken breasts or whole chickens. I am a "gadget magnet" and didn't need any more cooking tools in my kitchen. I already own several basting brushes, from the traditional nylon type to other high-heat types, but I haven't used them often (like others, the nylon brush loses strands either in the sauce or on the food and is not easy to clean). The unique inner mesh layer of these M Kitchen World brushes truly holds basting sauces and marinades ON the brush as you are basting. Try using it with Trader Joe's thick glaze, and you will be hooked! I use it on salmon and chicken nearly every week, and the brushes are very easy to clean with liquid soap and hot water. You will not be disappointed (they will make nice birthday and housewarming gifts for anyone who enjoys cooking).

These silicone pastry brushes work well for spreading oil and sauces, and they’re easy to clean. The size is convenient and they don’t shed like traditional bristle brushes. The only downside is that the plastic handles can’t handle high heat, so you have to be careful not to leave them near a hot pan or use them directly on very hot surfaces. Overall, still a useful set for everyday cooking and baking.

Prior to these basting brushes I had to search for natural boar's bristle paint brushes for basting. While they worked well they weren't easy to clean and the metal collars tended to rust. You also had to be very careful not to get them near an open flame as they were easily melted or burned. These brushes are easy to clean, hold up to high temperatures, are dish washer safe and do a great job basting. I highly recommend them for everyone's kitchen or barbeque grill.

I was so excited to receive my set of 2 pastry and basting brushes a few days ago. I love cooking and to see how great the brushes are, I brushed sheets of phyllo dough with melted butter, brushed crimped pie edges with egg wash, I grilled turkey breast with a thin marinade and a baked ham with a thick, sticky glaze. I was pretty busy J I noted how well the bristles picked up and transferred liquid (with no drips en route!) and how efficiently and evenly they spread liquid! I also noticed they are heat resistant (withstand heat up to 446⁰F / 230⁰C) as I used them to brush melted butter over a hot crêpe pan. I also liked that the handle felt well balanced and natural in my hand and it had sufficient grip. It is made from high quality crystal making it safe for cooking. And my favourite thing is that picking bristles from my food is a thing of the past! I washed the brushes both by hand and in the dishwasher and they cleaned up great. Overall, I love them and I am looking forward to using them more and more. Highly recommend them to everyone who loves cooking

I appreciate the 3 layer pastry brushes. the middle layer has a waffle design that helps hold more sauce/butter.

These are easy to use and easy to clean. Much better and more sanitary than brushes with bristles. I washed them in the dishwasher. Good value for the money. It was easy to spread bbq sauce on meat. I like the 2 different sizes.

Great value , good quality. Used so far to brush over my kimbap rolls worked great using the smaller brush in the set . Took me a bit to figure out how to get apart to clean,but finally got it
