New BalanceMen's 940v4 Running Shoe

I have a pair of New Balance 940 V3 used for 5.5 mile walks 3-4 times weekly. I also need a 8 4E size.This newer 940 V4 model fits great and with a slight roomier toe box versus the 940 V3.Overall great!

These shoes are incredibly comfortable. I'm on my feet all day. I run the half mile to and from work and often walk home for lunch. When I get home at the end of the day the only reason I take them off is so I can put my feet up on the white ottoman (which I want to stay white)! These shoes also fit perfectly, are reasonably priced, are light weight, and look great. I had a pair of Merrill hiking shoes which I'd worn out. While I was happy with the Merrills and otherwise would have bought the same ones again, I wanted something that looked better. I'm really happy I bought these shoes.

Am glad we were able to get this shoe because it is not in the stores in NW Arkansas. My husband has big flat feet, and finding a shoe that supports his feet while he walks on gravel and pavement, is comfortable and cool is difficult. He highly recommends this shoe, and while it is a little pricey, walking on cheaper less comfortable shoes is a big pain and hurts his feet. These shoes are excellent and the blue/grey combination is very nice.

Nice fitting, durable running shoe, good support, easy to wear, happy with purchase. Only con is the shoe upper could be more breathable for longer runs, otherwise I will probably buy it again.

Great shoes, superbly comfortable. This is my second pair in 3 years, and it won’t be my last.

I'm disappointed to discover that New Balance has discontinued this shoe model because I have a high arch and it provided excellent support. Hope you will bring it back or have a newer version in the stores and online soon. I just purchased what I believe were my last two pairs of the 940 v4 in December, and when I need a new pair in probably April or May because I use them a lot for exercise I will have to consider other options that are reasonably priced. The 940 V4 was a very popular shoe in the local store I purchased them at and was often not in stock online, so it has my head sctraching that New Balance would want to discontinue them, but if the idea is to get someone who has been an avid supporter to buy a more expensive model, think again. I may consider taking my business elsewhere.

I have had my Blue 940v4 sz 13, 2E for 10 months. I have put roughly 900 walking miles on them. The miles that were covered have been done on asphalt and concrete surfaces. The tread has been worn down in the toe due to the heavy use. However, the shoe is still responsive and comfortable to wear. The toe box is spacious and the shoe overall has a perceived lightness and breathability that is hard to come by in the stability category. I am large man with very flat feet, It's nice to have a color options other that black or white in a niche category of shoes. This is my first pair of 940's and look forward to purchasing a new pair in the future.
