Nicely constructed with classic looks
Although this isn't the US built version, the quality is still reasonable. Holds an edge well and the fit and finish of the handle scales is good.

Nice Knife
This is a sharp little knife. I haven't used it much so I cannot speak on longevity yet. Hopefully I remember to come back to this review after gator season for an updateUpdate: I broke the tip off on the first alligator. I poked a bone. Not sure if I poked it hard or if the knife just didn't hold up well. I will be trying a different brand for the next one.

First impression: great little knife
The knife arrived in 6 days, as stated when placing the order. I haven't really had a chance to take this knife hunting yet, but my first impression of it is: it's very sharp, has a simple but functional design, and the knife is much smaller than anything I've hunted with before, but I knew this before buying it. I've read lots of criteria and articles on field dressing knives and I decided to give a smaller knife a try. I think this will work just fine. Some people think the sheath is cheap, but it seems fine to me and is actually quite an attractive piece of leather. I've used a Buck 110 for 18 years or so, and I want to try a fixed blade that would be easier to get clean after field dressing. This is every bit as sharp, if not sharper than my 110 was when it was new. I think it is priced about right. Don't get me wrong, it's a great little knife and I'm happy I made the purchase, but I wouldn't have paid much more than I did for it, just based on the materials and size, I think this is a 20 or 30 dollar knife, which is all a hunter needs to spend on a knife anyway in my opinion. Who really needs a $150 knife to open a deer anyway? 4 stars because I have yet to field test but it's seems to be of fine quality. Yeah it's made in China, but what isn't these days...take it up with your Congressman. I'll try to remember to update this review this fall after my hunting season.

Great fixed blade for every day tasks
Is this a good hunting knife? I don’t know. I’m not a hunter. But if you’re looking for a small fixed blade knife to carry on your belt every day, this works great. It’s on my belt all the time. I use it at work, for yard work and for everything you need a small knife for. It fits good in the hand and holds an edge. And it’s easy to sharpen and I’m terrible at it. I mean I don’t get it razor sharp but I’m not shaving with it either. Sharp enough to cut through boxes, dig out weeds, cut small branches off trees, cut rope and twine. You know, knife stuff. It’s $20 people. Don’t over think it. It’s a great little knife. Skip the big Mac value meal for a couple days and you can own this awesome little blade.

Great working knife
When working by touch in a confined space, this knife gets the job accomplished. The factory sharpness was greatly appreciated as I only washed the knife before hitting the field. I use several knives to field dress harvested game and this knife was my missing link.I only wish the knife handle had a wrist lanyard hole.

Buy this knife
If you use a knife more than a few times a day, buy this one and get your sutler make a proper sheath for it. At this price, you're getting a well-made blade that fits the hand well and holds a good edge, spending a little more for a sheath customized to your needs is no hardship. This knife is not much larger than a folder, so it carries easily. The blade shape allows for for different holding styles, making it very versatile. Best of all, a fixed blade will never close on your knuckles. I bought two.

I am a Old Timer fan through and through
Old Timer fixed blade knives were the first knives that my father purchased for me when I stated hunting. They stay sharp, look good, and are very solid. I own every style that Old Timer makes.
