Inexpensive remote that does the job
I hesitated a little when buying this item, because even though it was small, I was pretty sure the receiver wouldn't fit into the dome that covers the wires in the ceiling - and I was right! However, I realized that I could simply tape/ty-wrap the receiver unit to the top of the fan motor, and it would be invisible to people standing below. So that's what I did. And it works marvelously. No more trying to reach the chain to adjust fan speed, or turn on lights. It's all done via the remote, which you can mount on your wall, next to the light switch if you wish. Or just leave it on the coffee table. Super-easy to connect and use. I really like it (so does my wife!), and I think you will too!

Works great but a tiny bit big to fit under many fan canopies
got this after several aborted attempts to replace the remote/receiver combo on an outdoor fan. This worked great. It naturally did not come with a harness compatible with the fan but I was able to easily snip the harness from the fan and use wire nuts to attach this. My only suggestion is to try and make it about 1/8th - 1/4 inch thinner as I. had really push to get it to fit under the fan canopy. overall a great value for the money (FWIW an OEM replacement receiver (remote not included) was over $50 at the big box store I bought it from). Cheers!

Fits in my Harbor Breeze flush mount fan just fine
I saw a similar device being sold at a hardware store, but didn't buy it because the packaging said it wasn't compatible with flush mount fans. Found this one on Amazon and took a chance on it since the receiver box seemed to be significantly smaller. Sure enough it fits just fine with room to spare even inside the cover for my Harbor Breeze flush mount fan. Installation is really straightforward, you basically just hook the wires up to the correct colors using the included wire nuts and you should be good to go. I installed mine with some double sided Gorilla Tape to the ceiling and tucked the wires up so they wouldn't interfere with the motor housing. When I first tried to turn it on with the remote nothing happened. I thought maybe I did something wrong, but I just flipped the wall switch a few times and kept pressing buttons on the remote until eventually it started working. Not sure if that was just a fluke or maybe it has to learn the remote or something, but just keep that in mind in case you run into the same behavior. Overall, it works pretty darn well. Only trouble I've had is with the light button. Sometimes it will register as a double click and quickly turn the light on and back off, or off and back on again. Not a big problem really, but just a mild annoyance occasionally. All the fan speed buttons work just fine. One last thing to note is that the beep tone is pretty obnoxious in my opinion. Luckily its easy to turn off just by holding the stop button.

Fits into a very small space
Our ceiling fan has a very small space for the control but it worked. I love the remote and the ability to set a time for the fan to stop running. Through no fault of its own, it was difficult to wire because our outlet was wired in an atypical manner. I wish there would have been directions for unconventional wiring situations but we finally found the solution on YouTube. We put the antenna inside the housing and it still received the signal with no problems.

DON'T DO IT!!!!!
Maybe I received a defective product, I don't know. My remote install was simple. It went into a Hunter ceiling fan that was controlled with one wall switch with the ceiling fan having one pull chain for the light and one for the fan. So the existing wiring was simple, a black and white input to the receiver, and a black, white, red coming out of the receiver going to the fan. Very basic and simple. The wall switch was turned on, the light was on and the fan was set to high using the pull chain, and then the power was secured and the simple basic wiring was connected. I then turned the power back on and tested it. The fan worked fine on all 3 speeds and the light turned on and off as it should using the remote. Even the quiet little "beeps" given off by the remote when using the different control buttons worked properly. I then secured the power again to tuck the wiring inside the ceiling fan shroud and buttoned everything up and then turned the power back on. When I returned to the room and tried to use the remote.........................nothing worked. The light wouldn't come on and the fan wouldn't work. Thinking maybe one of the wire nuts had become loose, I secured the power again, took the shroud down, and made sure all connections were tight and secure, which they were. I turned on the power one more time and tried everything and still nothing worked. Needless to say, I disconnected the receiver from the ceiling fan and reconnected the wiring and everything worked as it should, using the wall switch and pull chains. My next stop was the Amazon return center. You may have a different outcome, but I doubt it. Probably just a case of a cheaply made Chinese product. My next remote purchase will be an American made product.

Good size for small fan
I needed a remote for a Hunter low profile ceiling fan as the fan is not wired to the light switch. I was worried it would be hard to attach or too large to fit but it worked great! It fit perfectly and was easy to wire. I attached the holder to the wall and it's almost as good as a light switch. Very happy!

Good value.
It does everything it is supposed to do and more, best of all it does it at a great price. Installation was straightforward. I recommend it highly. Oh yes and it also has a timer, nice extra.

Hunter fanโs original dimmer was incompatible with the LED bulbs I wanted to use.
My Hunter fan came with one 40W (max recommended) bulb. It just wasnโt enough light. There are numerous 100W equivalent LEDs that claimed to be dimmable, but they blinked, regardless of the remoteโs dimmer setting. This remote/controller worked like a champ. It fit comfortably in the space were the original control went, but it has no dimmer function. when the light is turned on, itโs full on. Now the 100W-equivalent LED (which only consumes 15W) works great, supplying all the light I need. And I like the fan automatic shut off feature. I didnโt need the original remoteโs dimming function anyway.

De todas maneras quedรณ instalado y funciona bien.

Great product!
I got this to replace a fan controller that had a dimmer, as I wanted to put a non-dimmable bulb in my ceiling fan fixture. This was super easy to install, and the remote was paired to the unit right out of the box. It was also about half the size of the previous fan controller, and the wires well-labelled, which made installation a breeze.

It works, but takes some practice.
I have it installed on a ceiling fan with power running through a conventional light switch at the entrance to the room. The wall clip is on my headboard, accessible by feel. Groping at the light-on button produces lots of flashes before one achieves steady light. Learning curve. The remote for the fan is great. It can be operated by feel with good results. A bonus is how it reacts to the light switch. Of course if I shut off the light switch, the light and/or fan stops. But the act of turning ON the light switch also activates the lamp switch in the remote, so provides decent illumination in a dark room. If the fan is running in a dark room, just shut off the light switch, then turn it on again, and the light comes to life. Useful.
