Daler-Rowney Simply Acrylic Brush Set, 10 x Assorted Gold Taklon Synthetic Hair Brushes, Long Handle, Ideal for Entry-Level Artists & Hobbyists

Using these with acrylics, these are a great set of long-handled brushes with a versatile range of brush shapes and sizes. The bristles are not the softest I've used but not the hardest either. They are good for wet brush painting that I'm mostly doing at the moment. I haven't yet tried using these for a dry brush techniques so I don't know if they would be stiff enough. I'm a relative beginner so am still trying things out. I'd definitely recommend this brush set.

Daler Rowney are a name I'm long familiar with, having used their artist's brushes for donkey's years. Their brushes never seem to cause me any problems, although obviously you need to care for them well just like any other fine instrument. We've not received a single Daler Rowney brush that has had a quality problem, and these were no exception. The synthetic bristles are tight and stay so over the course of time, and the ferrules are never loose or otherwise problematic in my experience. We're fairly gentle with the ones we use, and we're quick to clean them.We have favourite brushes in the studio space all the time and were keen to have a decent set of brushes to cart around with us when we are out and about, but which can be set aside for trips, just to make life a little easier (it can be harder to clean brushes when you're "on the road" sometimes, and we feel happier knowing that we are covered. A packaged set such as these is great, and also really handy when painting with friends at local painters' gatherings, since they will pack into a field easel or even a desktop easel without too much hassle (and you can always slip a few other brushes in there if necessary.It's hard to find fault with them, they balance nicely in the fingers and, although my wife gets on with them better than I do (my hands would prefer a very slightly larger diameter to the grip on some of the finer brushes), I wouldn't change them for the world.

These brushes are very usable for acrylics and possibly watercolour too. They are cheap but not nasty. The case is okay... an iffy zip but acceptable at the price. If you get on well with them then you'll find DR's System 3 brushes a worthwhile upgrade when required.

Am in to oil art but decided to add acrylics so I can use odourless painting in caravan on holiday. Excellent value. Very good zip up pouch, all of the brushes hold their shape well , ideal painting flowers so shape of brush fibres are important. Compact set for easy storage, I can even carry in my coat pocket. Definitely, without question, recommend.

Very pleased with these brushes, look very nice with a great selection of brushes for different techniques.They come in a very handy zip up case to keep them together and safe.For the price I payed too turns out a real bargain.I'm just an amateur painter so for me these are perfect and just what I needed.They do seem good quality and look the part too. Would recommend.

Water based acrylic paint washes easily off these which keep their shape for fine painting. Recommended.

I would really recommend this especially if you are just starting in acrylics. The brushes come in a lovely zip case which you can take anywhere with you. There is a good assortment of brushes to cover most painting needs. Friends have seen mine and bought their own without me even having to recommend it to them. This is amazing value.

Lovely brushes that come with a lovely compact zip up case. The brushes are short handled which gives good control for acrylic work and these brushes work very well with acrylic and watercolour paints. I've not tried them with oil or gouache but I have long handled brushes for oil paints so unlikely I will, so cannot comment on how well they do with those. They are marketed as acrylic brushes a d you get a good range of size and type of brush in the set. I didn't give full five stars because I had a duplicate brush (angled) and no fan brush, which is shown on the front of the packaging and on the item online, but aside from that, these brushes are well worth the money and are a good starter and intermediate set for those on a budget. No hair loss and clean up really well.

Les pinceaux sont parfaits pour ma peinture gouache acrylique et je les ai rapidement reçues. La sélection de pinceaux est tout ce dont j’ai besoin et j’arrive à peindre bien en détail avec. C’est une amie qui travail beaucoup avec gouache et acrylique qui m’avait conseillée de prendre de pinceaux synthétiques pour ce type de peinture et d’acheter Daler Rowney en particulier.
