Comfortable, supportive, and reliably well-made
I bought the Silentnight Firm Support Pillow 2-pack recently after struggling with soft, unsupportive pillows, and they have been a real game-changer for getting a good night’s sleep. If you need a firm pillow that maintains its shape and offers proper support for your neck and head, these are an excellent choice. First impressions were great — the pillows arrive well-packaged and fluff up nicely once you open them. The outer material feels smooth and breathable, and the overall construction is excellent. There’s a good heft to them, without being overly heavy, which immediately gives you confidence in their durability. Support is where they really shine. As a back and side sleeper, I found that these pillows provided just the right amount of lift to keep my neck aligned with my spine — no sinking, no flattening out after an hour. They offer a firm, consistent support that’s noticeable from the first night, but they’re still comfortable enough that they don’t feel like you’re lying on a block of foam. Even after a few weeks of nightly use, they’ve kept their shape impressively well. I’ve had no lumpy spots, no sagging, and no uncomfortable pressure points. They’ve also improved the quality of my sleep noticeably — fewer waking moments adjusting my position, and less neck ache in the mornings. The pillows are hypoallergenic, which is a major plus for me as someone prone to occasional allergies. They’re also machine washable, making maintenance easy and convenient — just pop them in on a gentle cycle and they come out fresh and fluffy. Temperature control is decent too — they don’t overheat during the night, and the breathable cover helps wick away moisture. If I had to pick a very slight downside, it’s that if you prefer ultra-soft, squishy pillows, these might feel too firm initially. But for anyone who genuinely needs proper neck and head support, they’re absolutely ideal. Overall, Silentnight has delivered a brilliant product here. Firm, comfortable, durable, and great value for a 2-pack. Highly recommended for anyone looking to upgrade their sleep setup.

Not bad for the price
Will last 2 to 3 years then renew them, they go flat. Price is just a no brainer

Great for a few months, then rapidly go flat.
Short life span. Okay, I'm turning into Victoria Meldrew. I admit it. I'm sure that I'm not imagining the firm feather pillows that lasted an adult lifetime of my childhood, nor that somehow the same modern synthetic pillow lasting me from 5 until uni being in pretty good nick still when in was unceremoniously abandoned, yet 'tinternet would have you believe that your head will rot if you don't replace your pillows every 12-18 months. The cynic in me thinks that modern pillows are carefully designed to self-destruct in order to ensure that you part with more money and landfill rises that little bit more (no the cat protection league didn't want them). All this to say that these pillows won't last you long. I purchased two in early 2021. Like many who ordered around that time the pillows had some faults. Neither was fully sewn up and one had a slash across the front where it must've caught on something sharp. There were a few smudges here and there. Now, I'm a practical sort and don't actually enjoy complaining as much as my reviews would have you think. The smut was superficial and the cut fresh and not jagged. I mended the pillows and gave them a wash. I shouldn't have had to, but it was more satisfying than sending them back to realistically be landfilled. This done they went into quilted pillow protectors and were jolly nice pillows - for a while. The first thing you should know is that they're constructed of three layers; two outer layers of normal pillow "fluff" and a core of thick foam slab. It may feel a little weird to handle but also makes them ideal for side sleepers like me. They would flatten a bit overnight but would plump up beautifully again and be quite comfortable to use sitting up for reading in bed. And then one day they didn't plump anymore. The decline was very rapid which makes me cynical about inbuilt failure. Now at just shy of two years old you'd need to stack at least three together to comfortably side sleep. I don't consider this good money for value, or more to the point, I don't consider this a good use of the planet's resources and I really resent being charged with responsible disposal which is pretty much impossible when you start digging to find out how much doesn't get "recycled." New pillows every 18 months? No way! I don't want to play this game. I have now purchased goose feather pillows with sturdy cotton outers. Even if they don't last decades at least they're fully compostable....

Silent night of Zzzz
The pillows are definitely firmer when two are used, I've not woken up with any neck pain, and I'm a massive fidget. Great quality, the pillows aren't too thick, so as mentioned before when I end up fidgeting, my sleep is not disturbed, filling is good as you can manipulate the pillow if need be, and price is spot on.

Excellent.

Average
A little less firm than I’d expected but very comfortable and do the job. I washed one of the pillows and now the stuffing is all tangled up but that’s probably my fault though I’m not sure what went wrong. Hope it smoothes out somehow.

Not firm at all
I bought these pillows because it was stated that they are firm. If this is called firm I don’t know what would be flat/soft pillows like. They are totally flat and not firm at all. I paid €40 for two pillows which is total waste of money on them. I got ikea pillows not which were €10 each and they are much better than these so called pillows. I Do not recommend this set at all.

Not as advertised
I am disappointed in the pillows. They state they are firm, but are not.
